I didn't buy nuffin too, you can easily secure 8 levels by using only the packs you get from the battle pass. A friendly word of advice: pick supports that ward a lot or if you have like 20% wards planted bonus on them, I got over 40 points from warding alone on that saksa card with the bonus. Also don't stick to eg if you're not some kind of a na fanboy

If no one is grouping up in your games, then get ratting. Outside of the pro meta, split pushing was buffed way harder than people think.

NP went from useless to viable almost instantly and the Midas changes indirectly buffed Arc so hard that his 5k+ winrate is one of the highest in the game. It works well and is a fucking blast when done properly.

I'm finding all the midas spam worse than the PMS spam. Supports and cores both getting it when they're losing or winning. 5+ midas is not uncommon at all in the games so far.

Shrines, the extra jungle camp, the move away from guaranteed-death trilanes, and the bounty rune all made the offlane way safer/better to get gold/xp in. The only way to shut down an offlaner now is through level 1-2 chain cc into kill (which PMS does great against that because autoattacks are important that early) or harass the shit out of him, even through the extra shrine heal (which PMS also does great against).

So it's far more difficult to bully the offlaner, meaning he's going to contest the lane, meaning the enemy carry ALSO has to get pms or risk losing every trade because of creep aggro.

Initially did my placement games for ranked when I started playing a few years ago, and I started at ~2k. Got back into ranked 2 weeks ago and I've lost almost every single game. Went from 2300 to under 1900 with last game.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I don't want to act like I'm all that, but when I play carry I get kills and when I play support I do support things. My K/D is usually even or positive and I try to play with the team as much as possible. I'm not embellishing either.

What other mistakes could I possibly be making? I'm not good at this game, but I really think I'm better than 1800 mmr. Am I picking the wrong heroes? I just want to get out of the trench guys.

Not really. Your networth is pretty bad and your kd shouldn't be anywhere close to 1:1, even in lost games, at least not at that level.
Try other heroes. There's probably one that's a better fit. Morph isn't good at low levels because it requires team coordination to make it shine. You won't find that in the trench.

You are getting positive to neutral KDA, even probably a 'decent' farm relative to the rest in your bracket but I bet you are playing passive and not trying to control the game, something like getting a kill or 2 on the enemy team and going back to slow farm instead of pushing their shit and snowballing.

My biggest advise, go play mid. This role not only lets you control the game by yourself in 2k where no one understands what the fuck is going on, but you will also learn lots of useful shit including, farming, laning, ganking, item timings, outplaying your opponent and etc. I also started at 2k and was playing mostly support, but it's hard to carry retards with bane because people in 2k are literally braindead so I switched to mid.

Not only I gained MMR, but my support game also improved a lot because I understood how to rotate and gank mid, and tilt dem mid cucks, the importance of keeping up at least some farm even on wardbot to hit your crucial items that give you 'power spikes' and overall got better mechanical skills. You can't take over games solo anymore unless you are at least 3k over the MMR of the game and the enemy team picks poorly, doesn't work together AND your team does work to help you. You cannot carry dota solo anymore.

I suck at playing initiators. The only one I can play confidently is Earth Spirit. I feel like with most of them, you wait for just the right split second moment when the enemy is out of position, but Earth Spirit feels a lot slower / more chill to play.
