Take your mages out of you midsword deck.
She is absolute shit. Not even joking. If you go first, you are at an aggressive advantage and can literally kill your opponent on turn 5-6 more than half the time. Playing a turn 5 trade only helps swing the tempo into your opponents side when you could have played albert and gone face instead.
If you go second, you already have more than enough evolution points.
Not to mention she fucks up your maid draws completely.
Most sword players haven't touched their bahamut lists since she was released so they don't even know what they are missing out on. Also, most are just netdecking lists from the japanese twitter accounts so they just go along with it without even trying.

She's the best turn 5 play when they have a evolved follower though.

going albert+evo face against shit like shadow and dragon is certain death. he will be removed by one card and then evolved follower will hit you in the face. The mage is a 4/5 that will survive most turn 4 evolves while killing it, putting a 4/1 and 2/1 on your field they have to spend burn, removal. or evolves on.

If you have low cost storm followers and the 2/1 survives a turn which is not at all unreasonable you can also get out 9 damage if two novices or 7 damage if two quickbladers, equal damage to that of a evolved face albert with unevolved lum knight while spending only 2pp and 1 evolve.

It's not that comparable to DoD. It's not so much hard removal as it is just a powerful tempo play that also threatens a lot of damage. The 3 damage will remove an enemy follower and the +3/+3 is a lot of stats. It works well on many blood followers like yurius, spiderward, and mastema again

You have the bones of the deck and a few flex slots, changing a card in the flex slot might change the winrate for you a little but generally that won't matter much. When you play a certain deck where a spots aren't critical to the design of the deck reporting a midrange shadow that runs 1 lurching corpse, it's still a midrange shadow deck. For the situation listed there, 5hp on turn 4, it would've meant leaving sword followers alive.

14 damage to face, the undamaged 2 drop would do 4 so that's two hits from the 1 drop, on turn 2 and 4. trading into a qb on turn 3. Orthus hit second qb and evo has 4hp and novice has 2 damage. turn 3 drop was possibly a 2pp follower with 2 health and a 1pp follower with 1 health, trading the 1pp into a second qb and the 2pp buffed by orthus into the other novice.

Roach is core to forest because it's like the only scaling combo card in a class that is about comboing. It use to be the only storm card before tarzan as well so it pretty much their only finisher, that and bolt.
