The meta of this game is a completely broken shit show. Blizz devs are gold-tier casual shitters who don't understand the basic mechanics of their own fucking game. And what is the communities response to this? Now that the despawn bug has been removed it will be even harder.

Basically, you need to find a godlike Tracer, as she is the weakest link on legendary with default heroes.

Getting flanked and being shot = death for all the characters. Rein needs at least three hits to kill someone who isn't Tracer and unless both of then are in front of him he's maybe only killing one before he dies and if he doesn't attack back he can only shield in one direction. As for D. Va, she dies to almost anyone easily because of her shit damage and titanic hitbox.

Throwers suck but you can't do anything about them and statistically you will win just as many games when throwers are on the enemy team as you will lose when throwers are on your team. Eh. According to oversumo my Tracer and Zarya are gold but I'm 3180.

I played with a mercy who was convinced, because of those stat sites, that he was masters because his numbers were big. The guy averaged at 2600 across his 3 seasons.

The numbers are great if you want to check your performance at a single thing but they can't account for how you actually play.

For example, on volskaya I only used one graviton but it caught both healers and we won the game because they couldn't sustain our attack.

In another game I used 3 gravs and caught the whole team in 2 of them but we still lost.

On paper my grav stats are better in the second game but they didn't actually achieve anything.

The 'master' mercy I played with got a fat 4 man rez but we all died to whole hog after it.
Another mercy ressed two dps back into a contested point and we pushed for the win.

I think hidden MMR (not just for you) for the team also affects your the sr gain or loss. I matched with a booster on my team. He was on like 5 games winstreak and absolutely carrying with genji. I only got 16 sr from that win even though the teams sr where fairly close. Pretty sure because that guy boosted the account MMR so I didn't get any points. In solo q I usually get around 25 and lose around 20

If a tank cannot defend themselves and require their team to function even in killing somebody, then they are fundamentally broken in all the wrong ways and cannot function within Overwatch's rules.

This is not World of Warcraft, these are not RPG tanks where they can just rip control away from people and force them to focus the tank. Tanks in Overwatch have to be so threatening, so team forming that they become the primary target at all times.

Not only does Orisa fail at this and watches her team get ripped to shreds as she pisses in the wind, when she is focused by the enemy she can't survive for more than a few seconds or even defend herself properly.

You do not understand how Overwatch's tanks function on a core level, and probably think Reinhardt is overpowered too.

Yeah funny enough I went on a 10-0 six stack run with a group and never played with them again back in Season 3 or 2.. dunno why. We absolutely owned them the entire time but had to go to bed and never grouped again.

thats not the idea, the idea is that tanks are supposed to have low, consistent cleaving damage to punish grouping and prevent people from encroaching on them and orisa has the opposite, targeted precision damage thats fucking terrible vs multiple people or unpredictable moving targets
like orisa doesnt need to do more damage, she needs to do better damage, a chain gun like hers just isnt any good in a game where snap movement is so prevalent, as opposed to a game like say tribes where movement vectors are committal and more difficult to alter the faster you go ie the harder you are to hit

Roadhog is truly a cancer to this game. If he hooked people out of position. Ok. But it's just instant death unless you have a Zarya.

I find myself getting really angry at this game - particularly at Winston when I'm playing a Healer. He just jumps at you and you die, there's no running, he doesn't need to aim, and you can't outdps him.

DVA is also stupid, her matrix spam is infuriating the way that it is a projected barrier that can render someone e completely helpless because you can't shoot.

Tanks in this game just irritate me so much with how little counter play there is.

Genji's shuriken fan also annoys me, why is this character rewarded for jumping around erratically spamming a high dps projectile shotgun and doesn't need to aim? His ult is also eh

There is a difference between "needing support" and "needing babysat by the entire team."

Orisa is outclassed by flankers. Reinhardt can fight back with his massive AOE swings, Dva can fight back or run, Winston is meant to take on speedy/low health characters and dominates in that field, Roadhog gets one lucky shot and he wins.

When Orisa is flanked by a Tracer or a Genji, she is basically dead. She not only needs to be healed all the time like a regular tank, she has to have her Offence allies protecting her from the enemy Offence heroes, which goes against what they need to be doing - securing the objective.

Winston, Sym, Mercy.

Winston is the hardest to play because he requires a good sense of knowledge to play him. You can't just jump in there. You have to be able to tell when you can and can't jump in just like a Rein charge. Because on bad jump can cost you the game.

Next is Sym because she requires some skill. You have to be able to adapt to the enemy team pattern so you can keep placing sentrys near the route they are going to take to the point. You also have to be able to judge when you should and shouldn't place a tele, and if you should place a tele or shield gen.

Last is Mercy because all you have to know if who needs healing and when you should damage boost, and you have to know when you should hid and wait for res.
