Honest question, does Blizzard fuck you on purpose?

I swear, I've never encountered the matchmaking that I do in this game in any other MOBA. I'll start off on a hero I'm trying to level up by winning 5-10 in a row then I will get matched with the absolute worst fucking players in the game.

Abathur for example. I started off by winning 10 games straight. All of a sudden, I am being matched with players straight out of WoW LFR. I've even gotten quite a few MVP games with 300k seige, top hero, top xp and we still lose.

What the fuck Blizzard? I'm not a tinfoil person who believes in the 50% forced winrate that people on HOTS forums believes in but I swear to God this cannot be a fucking coincidence. Every fucking hero, every fucking time.

Blizzard matchmaking is systematically fucking you. It's that it's poorly designed and broken. It's made to find the quickest possible results without actually trying to create a fair match. There's a reason for that too. There isn't nearly as many people playing HOTS as Dota or LoL. Blizzard historically has created the absolute worst matchmaking algorithms of any video game. Look at WC3, SC or World of Warcraft.

It does matter because the pity timers work by increasing your drop rate chance for a legendary after every failure.

e.g.
>x% chance to get a legendary on first try
>(x+y)% chance on second try
>(x+y+y)% chance on third try
>repeat until legendary or 100%
>reset to base chance of x% after you get a legendary
It's not "x% chance for a legendary until you hit cap".

So order matters.
BUT loot boxes contents are rolled the moment you get them so when 2.0 hits, it doesn't matter at first because you'll get a large burst of unordered boxes. The order starts mattering again when you start rerolling boxes.

If you're going to do any rerolling, you should probably start with the shitty boxes just to get the failed dice rolls out of the way early so that later boxes have a better chance at proc'ing a legendary.

So, I used to have 0 interest in playing Xul but when I saw the Mega bundles I noticed he is classified as "Siege" and that peaked my interest.
How good is he at that?
I've seen people claim that he doesn't really -feel- like a Necromancer which is kind of a bummer, but since he's in the bundle I'm getting then I might as well ask.

Incidentally, his master skin is actually pretty rad. Never seen it before today.

Xul is played on maps where two lanes have small distance between them, such as tomb of the spider queen and blackheart's bay.
Most of the game he waveclears and pushes while the rest of the team is fighting and doing objectives.
He's good at what he does but is weak to ganks since he has no escapes.

In higher levels of play, he is only used exclusively on either Blackheart's Bay or even Tomb of the Spider Queen. His only job is to wave clear the two close lanes for team exp while the rest put pressure in the third lane.

Xul in a nutshell. Pairs well with those reliant on skillshots (Chromie, Ming) and is one of the harder counters to Heroes like Thrall, Illidan and The Butcher.

I'm pretty confused too, but my understanding is that it's worth rerolling anything lower than the chest + an extra nonguaranteed rares. So, if you have one rare in a common, or two in a rare, reroll. Always keep legendaries and epics. Epic chests are weird, reroll them if you've only got one rare, since you're guaranteed an epic.

That is a bit more expensive, if you want to absolutely optimize your gold, only reroll if you get Commons in every slot, or in the case of epic and rare chest, three Commons.

Okay so the best way to reroll chest is only do so if you get the absolute lowest the chest can offer.

This means
Common = 4 commons
rare = 3 commons 1 rare
Epic = 3 commons 1 epic

When you reroll a chest you are rerolling each individual item with a chance to upgrade. That being said if you get 2 rares in a common chest and hit reroll you do have the chance of downgrading.

Each bundle is worth around 130k-140k gold.
My advice is just go into try mode and find a few heroes you like and get the bundle with them. Otherwise, assassin bundle is slightly the most valuable.

Overwatch boxes are determined the moment you get
Hots the box has nothing inside of it till the moment you hit open.

Hoarding for events makes no sense, since it will likely do something similar to overwatch where they will have event specific lootboxes, so no chance to open them. The only purpose of hoarding boxes would be to get new character and skins for them day 1 with just boxes.

Also since all items are on their own roll with the addition of reroll it'd make no sense to have it determined before hand.

I'm not sure about dota, but I know LoL doesn't have one. I'd love to see a confuse mechanic where and enemy player would start attacking it's allies even if just AA. Would be a neat ultimate for it's CC purposes and the chance for a team to accidentally dmg it's ally through AoE.
