Newbie to T7S here. This is practically my first event (I joined a few days before the last event ended, but I didn't get a single daily reward); around how many points are needed for top 2500? I'm confident of getting 45k points (maybe even 50k if I push for it) but not so confident of top 2500.

I'm guessing more likely than not there was at least one similar event last time so I was hoping to use that as a reference or something.

When slashing while moving, she slides towards enemies a bit, which helps if you're not lined up exactly or they're moving around a lot. Dunno if that's specific to her, catgirl didn't seem to do it.

Got a SVD, so I can now replace my Springfield with her to have a speed sniping competition happening between WA2000 and SVD. I can use my Springfield as a logistics team runner as she is level 37, too.
So now I've ended up with two squads - sniper team that is great at boss takedowns and MG/AR team that is great against those damn mass robot dog things and lots of machine tank things that act more like a general clean-up crew because it has two SMGs to soak up all that damage.

Now the only thing I need are cores and fodder/pills to get them all up to speed.

I was working on a translation for story 3 and had power cut out back when chapter 2 was about to release. Haven't been motivated to go back and continue it especially after learning that there would be no headpats for them. Also almost don't want to do story stuff to keep the gems hidden away. Which is to say, I can't defend Mari past her tits which I can do for Shiho, since I don't have a good grasp on who she is yet.

Maybe they have some meaningful message in the Second Anniversary thank you stories too, but I'm probably not even going to read them at this point I'm so mad with my results. The last time I had this much trouble rolling was before guarantees was even a thing.

I hope May set leaks are soon. But my leak source didn't even post Chapter 3 art/live2D so they must've checked out too.

You'll want to start out just evolving some of your 4*s before you try to tackle Expert/Boss Chaos.
Team synergy is quite important.

In your case, luck kinda screwed you over from having a good starting pool to work with.
Rosehip's leader skill should have made things simple, but it doesn't seem you were able to pull any Fire or Water followers from the gacha after your starting rolls.
If you want an easier start, I'd consider rerolling.

Otherwise, you can either shoot for a Dark team with Hiiragi as your leader or a Cupid team with Sage or Rato as your leader and find friends with the respective leader skill boosts asap.

Trader is actually on the strong side for a natural 4* despite his niche passives, while Hiiragi and Puss aren't outright bad either.

Thought I'd have some more motivation for latter half's weapon crystals, but going against bosses with no max level in sight with a 3* Kaede in team was bad enough. Even forgot to check Mimi's rank in the end.

Also how many gels are there exactly? I got the original gold one, red fighting and cheering after addition, but still don't have a complete over the event banner. Either there's something even rarer than the gold one, or some incredible bad luck on my side.

You definitely could. The game isn't so inflexible that the gacha is everything.
By design, you can even progress using only non-gacha units; it'll just take a large amount patience, since a player would have to advance one step at a time, farming a decent pool of Chaos 4*s to work with, evolving each of them to 5*, using them to start farming the weaker Chaos 5*s, and so on and so forth.

And you're nowhere near far enough in the game to even consider whaling when you have next to nothing to lose by rerolling.

Well this is just on the twice a month order tournament.
This doesn't include the individual spending in regular events for limited ranking cards which was also alot.
All in all it was big money every where.
I was allowed into the 9th best order for one event since i was in their child order and by this method their whales would increase the rank while we sat back and got X legend cards so that we could become strong in the future for them.

Watching the amount of powder and money they spent was fuckin horrifying.

RoB set the standard I think in that the whales were so invested that they kept hte game afloat for the longest time to justify their hobby. Later Guild Wars, Holy Wars, Castle Crushes, whatever they ended up calling them were literally won by whichever guild threw more money at their screen. Then they powercrept that with events and event rares that gave you bonus damage on the event mobs and every possible way of whaling besides useful whaling like easier skill leveling or other stuff. I think what honestly killed the game was the separation of the in-game currencies, pots / holy powder into a purchaseable one and a personal one and introducing the bazaar. The game kept governed itself pretty well with trading by keeping blacklist tabs of people who tried to cheat or lied, but they decided to introduce the bazaar as a feature to combat trade transactions like that but it kinda killed cemented the game's end. You could only trade 'x' amount of value per day with your alloted 5 tickets. One ssr unit cost 5 tickets to even trade for or put up for sale and you could buy more tickets to trade. You could only trade with verified accounts and a lot of people had kept themselves afloat as f2p through tons of alts and passing along powders.

TLDR they went full jew and not even their delicious card art could save it, which that game still has some of the nicest art.

Bottom left button: feed hammers and gacha trash to weapons to boost a bar and unlock three extra weapon skill slots.

Bottom right button: Spend all your gold rerolling randomized skills for those slots.

Use them on weapons for characters you're gonna use a lot.

Focus on third slot, since it gets higher boosts and other bonuses that don't show up in the first two. "Action skill +30%/SP use +10%" and "Charged action skill +20%" are usually very good.

1k for silver hammer
500 for bronze hammer or 3* gacha weapon

But there's a chance of great success and 1.5x points, so I prefer to feed one at a time. Or two at a time for 2* gacha trash, because an extra 175 isn't going to help anything.
