In Tekken, are you supposed to be inputting the punch for EWGF right before the down input?

That's what I'm doing, but I've gotten EWGF to come out only maybe 2-3 times at once. I'm not sure if I'm actually inputting it the way I think I am though.

Also the multiple button history isn't me repeatedly tapping, I think it's just showing that because I hold the button down a little.

The combos will be slightly different between the two games because the bound mechanic from t6/ttt2 is being replaced by something else.

It won't be a drastic change but there will be differences. If you're new, I might suggest trying out someone who isn't a Mishima. They are tough to use. Not saying drop him completely, because I like using Heihachi too despite sucking with him, but an easier character to start out will benefit you.

Look at Crush Counters, for example. In Beta 1, every character had one/two CC buttons, and they were the fartest reaching but also the most unsafe heavy buttons.

The way they started balancing the game after that build didn't really make sense.
