I had no idea it would devolve into this fighting for hours.
My origional post was just me letting off steam about being in a group with two people who weren't any help at all.

They basically just sat on the top of hightmountain while I defended Maya and walked her to the eagles and killed everything at the end with the bombs.

I really liked the dot snapshotting in all xpacs but at least the early cata healing design and dps dk and boomkin specs I really enjoyed

There aren't many one-shot mechanics in the game. Stuff usually screws you over in the long run.
Mythic boss fights are usually planned around ability timers and overlaps. Some points would be impossible to survive without planning defensive cooldowns or positioning. Then there are skill overlaps that create nearly impossible situations.
