In fact, I'd argue that because of her reliance on prepping areas with tentacles and her unique collection of traits (strong counter engage, area denial, siege breaker with physical waveclear) that outside of lane she takes a lot of intelligence to play optimally.

Depends on the match up. If you fight a tank BC first almost always is the best choice just because Kled has a pretty good all in after a couple trades. Otherwise if you fight somebody squishy it isn't a bad idea to go Ghostblade just because it will let you murder squishy targets. I've never built DD but I'd imagine it wouldn't be bad first if you against somebody who isn't tanky and is pretty aggro since it gives good lifesteal and and the damage reduction.

This is total bullshit. We JUST had to nerf damage across the fucking board because it had gotten so ridiculously high. Roles like Jungler and Support have never been so impactful in the history of the game compared to S1-S2 where they were Oracle/Ward buffs. While this was fully needed to make an equally fun experience for every role it eventually had lead up to that point and something had to be done. Not to mention the whole powercreeping of old champions from about S3 onwards and why almost a quarter of the fucking roster is going to need full scale VGUs just to approach the modern standard of champion gameplay and design.

Illaoi's been able to hold a positive winrate and a decent banrate in diamond elo before and has seen pro play.
