Kaneshiro coming to her attention was just in time for her to make that decision to use the thieves, for both the purposes of dealing with the issue and evaluating the team. If she wants to find out more about the team's actions, why the fuck would she go dump the case on Sae, and not have anything to judge the thieves on? That completely defeats the purpose of every scene that shows her straddling the fence about what the thieves were doing.

A lot of the complaints for the Anti-Makoto crowd comes down to her introduction, as a lot of the "The Makoto Show" content comes from the start of the Kaneshiro Dungeon and the Sae Dungeon, where her connection is completely justified and it's almost disappointing that Goro gets attention there instead of her. Oddly, a lot of the Anti-Makoto crowd's complaints are seen as pros to the Pro-Makoto crowd, since a lot of them love the moment that she snaps and it would make her look more like a dumbass if she didn't get focus. She'll get hate for a while, probably forever, just like Fuuka and Naoto and she seems to be attracting the same crowd. As spinoffs come out and she's the least harmed like Naoto before her, she'll be more "acceptable"

If you're serious about "minmaxing" Satanael then you really can't because you only have at most five levels worth of stat points to manipulate. You're better off using a lower level Persona so you have more points to work with. Even something like Yoshitsune would be better, but the best options are way lower.
