60 is best for invading cause you get super active areas like Pontiff or the most dangerous place in vanilla, Irithyll Dungeon.
Anything higher is getting into duel territory. As soon as you get into NG+ levels you stop fighting people still making builds and start fighting people optimizing them.

There's not a terrible lot about Dark Souls 3's abridged and underwhelming lore that's juicy. It's pretty straight forward for the most part and anything that isn't doesn't go very far.

The most compelling thing you could do is examine the intricacies of its characters, which aren't very well developed.

Poise is usable, heavy weapons cost less stamina, and new rings have opened up more options to improve defenses with armor.
Straight swords are still solid, but not 90% of the meta. Sometimes you just really need poise.

SL40, +4 weapon reinforcment. You can invade the good areas and early areas too. I got non-stop invasions for Aldrich Faithful Covenant. It's a low enough level that something has to give when you make a build. Either its VIG gouging (my preferred with Prisoner's Chain) or you've got health but piss low damage output.

both SLs are completely devoid of depth now, with 120 just being 66/16 territory (everything else is fucking awful in comparison and can't dish out 1k damage combos with little to no effort and actually hyper armoring through hits to confirm said combo)
and 80 just being raw dsa vitgouge (albeit being countered by just switching rings and eating pellets) or anri vitgouging with stupid regen that actually has no counters whatsoever but that's the same for the hyper armor cancer combos for 120

at sl80 at least the dex builds can be on an even level with str, because you have less defenses thanks to less investment in vit and you don't waste points in your build reaching your damage softcap
