The dub has better individual voices, but legacy is better overall. I'd rather listen to semi-generic, decent voice acting over a pile of shit that is veteran lancers and jeanne d'arcs with a handful of actual good voicelines

So I went back and took a look at where the meta was in RoB in comparison to around the same time right now. At the start of RoB winrates were a lot more balanced overall and despite the immediate presence of a million rune-faggots swarming ladder, we had a more evenly balanced distribution of winrates amongst all classes. It wasn't until the 2nd month where the meta settled into Forest and Rune and initially popular decks like aggro blood completely died out due to the rise of Daria and Roach.

When we look at TotG it's interesting the meta settled into two dominant classes so quickly. It took RoB at least a month to get there but in TotG it only took a week or two. I think it goes to show the powerlevel difference that exists between the t1 and t2 decks currently. If we look at the 2nd month of RoB we can see that the t2 decks still seemed to at least have a fighting chance and that even shit decks like ramp dragon saw heavy play. In TotG the worst classes in the game seem to just be completely overpowered by the two meta decks. Rune has a near 40% winrate right now which is worse than dragon ever was in RoB. In comparison, shadow has achieved a winrate higher than any other class we've seen in any expansion.

So where do we see any changes that could happen in the meta next? Going through each week of data in RoB we can actually see sword gaining popularity and winrate in various times and in fact the week before the roach/Daria nerfs were implemented we saw sword swordcrafts usage and winrate spike to match forest and rune. Basically sword was a completely fine deck before the nerfs but ungas were sleeping on it because no one created a good sword netdeck. I guess my question is do we see anything like that possible in TotG, or are the meta decks just too strong for anything else to be viable?

Otherwise I predict if they make a moderate nerf to shadow and a minor nerf to dragon we will get a more balanced meta like we saw at the end of RoB.

The only way for this meta to be healthy is to gut wallet dragon AND shadow. Shadow is the main thing keeping wallet dragon in check seeing as nothing but hard aggro kills it (and even then you better hope they don't curve into Rahab and Sibyl). If you remove shadow then dragon will take its place by shutting out all midrange/control classes since it plays a better control game than the dedicated control class (Haven) does right now.

Eh, Forest has gotten some decent cards every expansion. Aerin, Beetle, Selwyn, Tia, etc.

They usually don't stand-out, but they're absurd tempo plays most of the time which is what has kept Forest relevant on top of having an already strong foundation of cards and Roach.

They get like 2 or 3 usable cards in an expansion but those are mostly to make a roach deck slightly better. Why are you surprised by that? Grimmy is in the kys blood list on game ai. It's a powerful 3 drop, AND it's a ward in a deck that's almost entirely dependent on them to not die in certain matchups.
The one time I've dropped him on turn 10 and won was against a shadow nig who top decked death's breath when he had like 2 hp. Never before has someone deserved to get grimnnir'd more than at that moment.
