On the off chance that this isn't a sarcastic post, I should lay it all out.

1. It should be really fucking obvious, but Orisa has the 2nd fattest hitbox right behind Roadhog. Reaper isn't exactly the slimmest character, but he's still much better at closing in on things without losing most of his health from chip damage. This is also a point a lot of people don't consider, but dying as Reaper isn't as punishing as Hog or Orisa because you can just shadow step back to or at least near to the point.

2. It's not your fucking job to be getting THAT close to enemy teams to "actually" be able to do your max 12 x 12 damage. If you wanted to do big damage then by all means, just play Soldier. Protect your fucking team. Make openings, open up big plays with Halt. That's Orisa's job.

3. Orisa's spread is as bad as Bastion's turret mode. But without the hitscan and damage. It's really not hard to get out of the way when you realize Orisa is shooting at you.

I feel like you're just not getting the ability. You can easily bounce around corners or through doors with it to keep away from whatever you're running from, or you can initiate with it (and often still use it for an escape if you fight for a bit). If the enemy team is pressuring you so hard that you can't even pop up without immediately needing to run, then you're being countered and should change.

Pharah's advantage over Genji and Tracer is that she's hard to hit by much of the roster.

I try not to have a defeatist attitude, but when your entire team takes a flanking route and actively avoids the payload for 2 minutes I just have no idea what to do.

e) any other low health character
f) poor team coordination

You then wait for your team to be ready, and you suddenly jump into the enemy team's backline, drop a bubble shield, and left click as many people as possible.

The enemy team will probably react to this by turning around and shooting you, which is why its important that your team uses this moment of confusion to rush in and quickly kill a few people and heal you up before you die.

Obviously this kind of tactic is very effective on attack, very weak on defend, and pretty neutral on KotH.

Winston is a tank in the traditional MMO sense, in that he literally draws aggro so your dps can go to work, but mainly his job is to fuck up widowmaker since he's one of the only characters who can get to where the widow is perched quickly.

Tanks are simply grossly overstatted. They went so far as to allow tanks to 1 vs. 2 dps heroes in numerous situations, easily bullying most of the DPS in one on one scenarios. Then tanks still perform their primary function with extreme ability- holding ground, contesting objectives, and breaching chokepoints. Due to their huge HP pools that put them out of one-shot territory, DPS fall prey to each other in ways that Tanks simply don't, thus Tanks synergize enormously with healers who build ult by healing a lot.

To put the final nail in the coffin, Tanks like Reinhardt and Zarya have the best ults in the game.

Tanks need to be drastically reduced in power for this game to feel good. By design their purpose should be almost exclusively for being a tool to hold ground, contest objectives, and breach chokepoints. Reinhardt RMB does all this, and this is good, but Zarya, Roadhog, D.Va, Winston are just straight optimal hero choices by default, and this is bad. Seriously, Roadhog is the best tank killer in the game- he's the best counter to another Roadhog. That's just insane.

You literally have to play heroes that every tank but Winston struggles to attack at all, like Widowmaker, Pharah, and Tracer, and these heroes only work if there's enough pressure being applied by the tanks on their team themselves. That's just absurd in design.

I don't understand why kaplan thinks reaper is the bestcounter to winston.

Roadhog is the best counter to winston. That's the whole problem with reaper.

What happens in a realistic game is that winston waits for reaper to leave his supports, then he jumps. Reaper can't spend all game standing near supports because, unlike mccree or soldier 76, he has no mid range or long range damage. If you make reaper stand in the backline, you are halving your damage output and losing the game for free.

So reaper needs to walk away from supports at some point. At that time, winston jumps in. When winston notices reaper very slowly and very obviously walking toward him, winston jumps away. I see no way that reaper can kill a good winston. All winston needs is discretion and awareness and reaper will never kill him.

Roadhog is a much better winston counter because 1 combo not only does 80% of winston's health + stuns him, the combo also prevents winston from jumping away. Also, roadhog has long range methods of killing enemies, therefore he can just stand by supports all game leaving winston no opportunity to jump in.

Kaplan is a fuckhead and needs to do something to distinguish reaper from roadhog. I think Reaper should have his stealth abilities increased because that's something roadhog doesn't have.
