I don't think she was the first, but she definitely shows proficiency at it being an old hunter. There's not much information on who exactly invented it though so it could very well be her as well though.
I do like the little detail of since the cainhurst crow isn't an old hunter, he has to continually pop the bone in battle.

I found out one of my friends has a nice mensis hunter and I want to do some jolly co-op as a Yarhargul hunter to compliment the theme. What are some weapons, guns, and tools an unseen village hunter would use though? I was thinking amy arm for weapon but I'm still unsure on the other two.

Is there any lore for the ones reborn? Most other bosses get some sort of lore or mention from other characters or something, but there's almost nothing about that giant corpse shit.

Well, probably not, but I made a short summary of faction motivations a couple months ago a few anons found quite helpful and it included that idea.
My basic reasoning is that the trophy title for beating MP is a reference to the Arthur C Clarke story "Childhood's End," where an entire generation of humanity is born which share a gestalt mind as part of humanity's ascension to unity with the Overmind; this implies that a GO contains a multitude, or even is a race in itself. Mensis, along with literally every other faction, seeks ascension, and their method would seem to be literally melting people together. The Yahar'gul ritual doesn't seem to happen until Rom dies, with the One Reborn not being teleported into the arena but literally born from the ritual just as you enter (making him the first of three infants you kill as bosses).
Added to that, 再誕者 doesn't mean "The One Reborn," it simply means "Reborn." Without that singular there many more ranges of opportunity for inference come up.
The most compelling evidence I've seen for TOR being a Mensis attempt at an Old One is: what the fuck else could he be?

First char i thought "man skill must be good" and went with the walking cane and played till lvl 40 or something, then I got the itch to restart with a str char with the giant axe weapon you get at the start. Its whole different world now, its so much more easy with all that range.

Havent finished 3 fully because when the DLC came out i got a ps4 with bloodborne, i havetn felt the slightest itch to play ds3 ever since i tried bloodborne. only thing i miss are decent frames, bloodborne actually slows down to like 25fps sometimes which is really weird to me as a long time pc gamer.

Another noob question I guess, are there item drops in the game? like weapons or armor? The only new weapons i saw are the ones you get when you kll a boss and the trader basin has new shit in stock.

Nope, the chalice of ailing Loran proves that there were beasts in other lands as Loran was a separate country / land that got rekt by the beast plague.

Most of the time if you kill an NPC that would "drop" their set or certain bosses, you don't get the weapon right away, but instead the messengers at the bath will be selling it, kind of like Melentia and Maughlin worked in DS2.

You can find weapons and armor in the game world as static drops but yeah, you don't get weapons / armor sets by grinding non-unique enemies.

Make an actual focused build instead of just bumblefucking your way through the NG. There's a ton of variety in classes you can do but if you want one build that offers the most I'd try doing a basic arc one. Starting class cruel fate, 50 VIT, at least 50 ARC and the rest is up to you. Maybe 15ish END, 16 or so STR, 12 or so SKL, Whatever lets you use a large variety of weapons. Whatever is leftover dump into ARC again. Keep <bl120 if you want to still have good coop opportunities, though 120 isn't going to ruin it. Any purely physical weapon can be converted to fire/bolt/arcane. You can use all the hunters tools to good effect.

Then you can go from there. You've got your strength, skill, quality builds, pure ARC, meme level 99 ARC, flat gemmed wheel, STR/BLT, SKL/BLT, meme pure BLT and more. The difference being with those builds at the end you usually only have a handful of weapons to choose from. they excel at what they do, but with a more generic less optimised ARC build you can choose from about 10 different weapons and they will all still be good.

The Madaras Whistle is so much fun to use, the problem is that most players are too smart for it. Works great in herds of enemies and larger bosses, though.
There's also something to be said for blowing a tiny rusted whistle, and having a giant snake pop out of the ground and take a bit out of whatever has the bad luck of being above it.

Like I said, it was a cool unique weapon. It was a neat idea but they half assed the implementation. Bloodletter is a cool idea that had thought put into it's moveset and is a much better weapon for it. Wheel is an average idea and is still a better weapon because of it's moveset.

I feel like amy arm should have primarily been the long range version in untricked form and some sort of crazy arcane weapon in tricked form. The untricked form we get is incredibly shitty and boring.

also I'd say my top 5 weapons for the game overall would be

parasite > cane/cutter > bloodletter > rakuyo > whirly

This is considering both effective moveset and the general idea behind the weapons. the can/cutter are such wonderfully absurd ideas for weapons. The cutter especially would be impossible to use. I feel like if the arm had a really well thought out moveset it would be #2 or 3.

Saw is without a doubt the top PvE weapon. Insane raw damage, serrated and fast. parasite is my go to for anti gank just because it's one of the few weapons you can use and still have distance and when people are in groups they are way more likely to get greedy and charge into an expurosion.

Central Yharnam has a good drop rate for blood vials. It's more effective to just farm up some echos and buy vials and bullets.
