I got some DLC the other day (I should note I got the JP audio of course on release). I can only speak of my tastes but I'd recommend teacher or doc. Out of the party members Haru isn't a bad choice at all. As for NG+ it's just like hard but special hits (crit and technical) deal 3x damage and exp and money have a 0.4x multiplier. If you think you can deal with that, go for it. NG+ gets broken by endgame personas anyway

merciless is only really difficult on a fresh file, because it's really fucking hard to recruit new personas when your crit damage is boosted so much. if you have access to the compendium, it's a nonissue.

or go into it with as little money as possible, which is what i did so i couldn't abuse the compendium or high level fusions. also dump or at least ignore your endgame equipment, having a 200+ damage dagger trivializes everything
