You could have it on equipment and AoE skills would have innate ratios so let's say a skill would hit 4 targets by default and if you had +2 AoE Attack Ratio then you could hit 6 targets. Skills like that are just broken, archeage has a skill called wings that makes an area around you immune to magic damage (read: 95% of aoe attacks) and the zvz meta is teleporting on top of the enemy zerg and spamming aoe while one dude channels that shit.

Not to mention all of the boss fights we cheesed with a wings rotations to avoid all the mechanics of the fight.

Thing is, Land Protector blocks only ground-targeted skills, not all AoE skills.
Player-targeted or caster-centered AoE skills such as Dragon's Breath by Rune Knight, Bowling Bash from Lord Knight and myriads other AoE can go through Land Protector especially the ones by 3rd jobs. It's not a be-all end-all protecting skill and it's only useful to block the absolutely bullshit tier AoE magic casted by the likes of Warlock or High Wizard.

I agree with you. I really enjoy the game and its probably the MMO I have enjoyed the most so far but I feel like I can't really git gud without spending massive amounts of time or money. So I gave up and decided to just have fun and quit the day I start getting sick of it.
I appreciate the advice though, probably going to invest in getting some land in Mermaid's tear because it's pretty.

I remember back when Renewal was just released clown/wanderer had some skill that disabled using skills in an area. That was bullshit on a whole 'notha level in gw scenario.

You enter a portal, there's a duo playing on the other side so you cant use any skills, and a buncha warlocks in the distance are precasting on you.
You cant kill the duo, you cant get to the warlocks to kill them.

Naval: boarding the enemy ship with more guys is better in every way than fighting with cannons

Endgame gear is pure RNG, not even talking about enchanting. When you craft a piece of gear there is a 1/7 chance it will be upgradable to the next tier, everything else is trash. Gear also needs to be enchanted to divine minimum to be viable, better get your anus ready for when it all breaks.

World boss contesting is a shitfest, if you contest most of the time neither side will get the boss, meaning both of you wasted at least an hour for nothing.

In the end I will play archeage 4.0 and im going to use my knowledge gained from 3.0 to rmt as hard as possible.

What MMORPG would suit me? I really enjoyed Runescape when I was younger, however I cannot get back into it. All I want to do anymore is write bot scripts instead of playing, apart from PVP.

My brother is talking about playing Eve Online, but I wasn't sure if it'd be for me. If it's like a MMORPG Master of Orion 2, then I may like it. Watching YouTube videos isn't helping determine it though. I'm downloading it now, but it's going to take awhile.

Upgrade all your shit to lvl 90, be lvl 90, amp your shit up. Get some rare avas and socket in those emblems. Get poverty enchants (cerberus for VIT, and i think it was some other shit for spr i forget, maybe moth queen unless that was int).

I play both runescape and black desert. Black desert is not P2W once you get some upfront convinence purchases out of the way. With 4 pets and weight limit increases you will have all the things you need to be competative as a pve grinder. For a crafter you will need a maid outfit and weight increases.

After your up front purchases are out of the way there is no way to p2win due to the market limits on cash shop items being way below equilibrium price. A value pack (the subscription item) is approximately 10mil silver on the market, which is easily reachable even for a brand new player.

It's actually pretty easy currently

First you need to be level 90, and make sure your passive that increases vit/spirit is maxed

Then you need to upgrade your vow pieces to level 90, you do that by running raid, getting condensed antonium and using those to buy the dimensional upgrade things from Woon

you need 4 scrolls to upgrade from level 70 to 90, and just upgrading all your gear will give like at least 100 stats

The next step after that is to enchant the pieces that can be enchanted by vit/spirit, depending on which one you're choosing

By the way, don't be a retard sader and try to increase both, just pick one stat to increase

It really just comes down to whether you wanna be in physical parties or magic parties

Anyways, with our current LT that gives the selectable unique bead boxes, you can get the +55 vit or +55 spirit beads to enchant your shoulder, belt and shoes which will also boost your main stat a ton

Also you need clone avatars, doesn't have to be rare clones cause those are expensive as shit, but you can slot +vit or +spirit into your clone avas and gain more stats

Beyond that would be minmaxing through amping, which is expensive and not recommended unless we have an amp event
