Lets see...

At level 100 for Legion you receive an Artifact weapon that you'll use for the rest of the expansion.

You get that weapon stronger through Artifact Power which unlocks new traits (moves deal more damage or heal more things like that). Once you reach level 110 you can start work orders (they take about 4-9 days for two at a time) which will increase the amount of Artifact Power (AP) you receive all the way up to level 50.

The newest zone in this latest patch 7.2 is the Broken Shore. You can start it just as soon as you hit 110. Doing the whole little intro quests and everything will grant you the currency Nethershards. 400 Nethershards will get you a Dauntless token for a piece of 850 gear at the vendor. 5000 Nethershards will get you a piece of 880 Relinquished gear. You get Nethershards through chests through the Broken Shore and from invasions.

Invasions are a new thing in 7.2 where certain quests show up on your map in a specific zone.You can do these quests starting at level 100 and if you are below level 100 you get a ton of XP (about a level if you do all the invasion quests) and if you're level 110 they will give Nethershards and a little mini-dungeon you can do with two other people that has you take down the Legion ship floating above that zone which gives you a piece of 860 gear and around 600 Nethershards.

Hope that helps some, I can understand this being confusing to someone who hasn't played Legion.

How's raiding and PVE/PVP balance currently? I warrior tanked in and offspecced DPS arms in Cata, back then both specs were perfectly viable (Arms was one of the best DPS specs when I unsubbed) and pretty fun.

Also, is everything pretty much still based on gearscore?

What other stuff do you guys do for fun while you wait for dailies and grinds to cooldown? Work on transmogs?

PVE and PVP balance...is off...

PVP is now Prestige levels. You do battlegrounds, arena, or PVP World Quests (unlocked at 110) to get Honor Experience until you reach Honor level 50 where you get a Prestige ranking. They've really tried to balance things, but there's just some classes that do better and some classes that are useless in places like arena such as holy pally.

And yeah everything is pretty much based on gearscore. You'll need a gearscore of 830 or so to start Heroic dungeons and if you want to raid but don't have the time or a group you can do LFR. The whole upgrading system goes

>do Normal mode dungeons to get to 830 gearscore
>then start Heroic dungeons
>if you have a guild you can do Mythic dungeons (introduced in the last expansion they're the harder Heroic dungeons)
>if they don't drop decent enough gear for you you can do Looking for Raid
>then the Pre-Made group finder if you don't have a guild can help you find a group for Normal, Heroic, or Mythic raids
>and you can do Mythic+ raiding which rewards higher scaled gear based on the level of difficulty scaling up to +15

dailies aren't really a thing anymore, now its World Quests and they pop up periodically throughout the day so you can always do those. You should be about Honored or even Revered by the time you finish each zone and doing World Quests will reward reputation with the faction related to the zone you did the quest in.

There's also Emissary Caches for the new factions. You do 4 World Quests for that faction and you get a chunk of Artifact Power and a chest containing Order Hall resources and a piece of gear. And yeah you can do transmog stuff as well. I've been able to solo Mythic Highmaul a couple times on my fury warrior.

There's also collecting Battle Pets which have their own World Quests and a weekly Dungeon you can do solo with them. Its pretty fun.

What went wrong is we are on our third dev team. The second was the B team who left post-SoO. The third team we have now is literally the Blizzard rejects who fucked over Diablo. They created WoD and Legion and all the bullshit with regards to garrison, class "fantasy", RNG on RNG, time gating to the extreme, etc.

maybe it's because the only other melee I play stacks haste and has almost no unused time other than that 1 part of the fight you get real unlucky (sv), while haste is weak for ww, but I find it to be really slow, especially when you're aware of which abilities you have next

I mean yeah you're occupied in planning out combo strikes, but the reality is you're only doing stuff about 3 out of 4 possible gcds tops, usually less
