The only Aoe they use is Salamnder's breath on turn 6, which a simple evolve or health buff (fencer) can save frog from. Of course they have aoe banish/grimnir at 10pp, but by then its usually too late, you are supposed to finish before that.
Granted, dragonewt fist would be really good at killing frog, but nobody runs that other than meme dragons.
As for wards, if the dragon player puts up a Rahab, then that is easily deal with, I can evolve a white general for 5 damage and kill it, forge weaponry my frog and evolve him then kill him, Albert it, Cyclone, Dance of Death it, charge a quickblader and an evolve commander into it, etc. Wards don't stop frog for shit.

The game needs ridiculously overstated sticky ward followers with the downside of not being able to attack face. I'm talking 4 mana 5/6s ward with last word summon 0/6 ward type of shit. Obviously combo would have to be gutted to allow this to happen, but only the combo that bypasses wards (D.Shift, WolfBolt). Board clears don't cut it anymore if they plan to release garbage like Catacomb and Eachtar, at the very least board clears that are fairly costed, while the followers insanely undercosted. We literally need turn 4 Themis to keep up with the constantly escalting board vomit each expansion is introducing , and have been needing it since Daria.
