I'm not gonna lie, the whole train thing in YW2 is annoyingly long and I'm glad that you get the ability to warp places after some time in Harrisville because I don't think anyone would have the patience to get on the train, go through 10 different stations and sit through 10 random events between those stations a few more times.

I've been getting rather lucky recently. I've somehow managed to befriend Draggy in a Yo-Kai Spot and I get a Frostail and Shmoopie from the Crank-A-Kai, Even before that, I ended up succeeding my attempt on befriending Snartle by feeding him Beef Tongue even through it took a few tries.

any yokai can equip any soul. Each one has their own soul that grants stats or an effect. It can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness via soul fusion.

There are also rare souls made by fusing specific souls

From that list, if you really hate loafing, Beetall+Rhinormourus soul (soldier soul) stops loafing altogether

Fun. I enjoy them more than Pokemon and was honestly more excited for Yo-kai Watch 2 more than I was Sun/Moon back when neither were out yet.

It doesn't play quite the same way as Pokémon, but the version split does effect what exclusive yokai you encounter, if a small list. Don't have it on me, but fleshy usually has the better designed Kai while bony has the more useful pvp kind.
