Never stop walking straight at them, throw out R1s every few seconds, try to roll catch every single roll they do. If they have a parry tool walk right up and kick their parry into a free R1. If they swing, roll behind them and keep walking right at their face. Be a reactive shitter if they have an ultra weapon or anything with poise but keep walking straight at them. How deep can we go?

I feel like Dark Souls 3 is almost as awkwardly disjointed as Dark Souls 2 is. Not quite, but almost (nothing will beat the Iron Keep though, so...).

And I feel like the "Lords of Cinder's lands are converging" thing is more or less an excuse to get away with this kind of awkward, nonsensical world building.

Both games aren't up to par with Dark Souls 1's geography layout. If you could warp from the get go in DaS1, 2 and 3 would have nothing to stand on in this department.

The only thing that remotely resembles a good patch for invaders were seed nerfs right? I mean, if the host can't use pve against you then guerilla tactics work even better now? Someone had the nerve to give me shit over mail about running away under these conditions. There were no blueberries yet but there were 2 Whites with multiple tears of denial up. Of course I ran the fuck away. If I had stayed and fought that guy they would NOT have waited, they would've fucking destroyed me, and he was acting like that wasn't the case.

That would kill me. Projected heal on the other hand should be nerfed so that it can only heal after being thrown from a certain distance so that even if they try to catch it, you can still reliably punish the heal or running towards the heal wouldn't be worth it. If they're going to nerf meme arrow, they should just make sure unfaltering prayer isn't on for as long as you hold the bow. Everything else about lightning arrow is fair, I find the WA combo ridiculous.

Looking for any good recommendations for fun builds to span from ds1 to ds3.
I have never completed Ds1 and Ds2 dlc, and I just purchased Ds3 dlcs.
I wanna play them all in order with the idea its my character in it all.

I'm going to unironically suggest something like Strength, Dex, or Quality/Refined warrior to carry you through each game.

Maybe if you want to spice it up, supplement him with some Faith. Intelligence not so much. Spellswords were only ever really that good in DaS2.

I suggest these builds because it'll give you the impression of a warrior wandering aimlessly throughout each and every age, getting progressively more haggard and broken as time goes on.

The problem is in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC.

You'd be an Unkindled, which is arguably fine, but might shake up your immersion. Unkindled are those Undead whom failed to link the fire. So it poses some questions about how you made the transition from DaS1 to 2 and then to 3, but to DaS2 to 3, honestly.

The problem with Lightning arrow is that while all it's attributes makes it a above average spell on top of being able to be held, it can be used to trade attacks indefinitely which makes it THE best spell in the game. In other words, you don't need anything else or you could possibly survive off of just that one spell for all purposes.

Let's list off those great attributes
>great fp cost/damage investment
>easy to use
>decent casting speed that can be spammed faster than the other basic projectiles
>can be held
>can be combined with unfaltering for a failsafe trade
>great range and projectile speed
Now give me one spell that can rival these benefits compared to the other spells; for both pve and pvp. The fact that it can be held with unfaltering turned on indefinitely gives a REALLY good trading option for any faith build without having to sacrifice speed. It's only downfalls are the 35 faith investment but since the damage mediocre at that point then you might as well go full faith and do better.

I wish they balanced lightning miracles better. The reason Lightning Arrow is so ubiquitous is because it just invalidates lightning spear completely.

You cannot ever hit anybody who isn't AFK with spear. It's impossible. The wind-up is too long, the projectile is too slow, even trying to use it is asking to be punished for your entire healthbar. The only use for it is to throw one as an opener and then trick people into jumping into your Lightning Stake because the cast animation is so similar. The risk:reward is skewed horribly, while Lightning Arrow is much more in-line with what you would expect.

It's a shame because spear miracles are cool as fuck and this has been an issue all the way back to DAS1

This is a good transition, implying a bit of continuity between your characters in DaS2 and 3. You could go with Lucatiel's set, and just do a full cosplay. At least in 3.

It sets a precedent for where you might have gotten the clothes and it's also a subtle nod to another hollow who went on a long and arduous journey, wrestling with memory loss in the process, which is an implication that becomes extremely poignant in the context of 3's DLCs.

But if you don't want to do what DaS3 does best with its inordinate amount of callbacks, try Mirrah Chain armor and gloves with Lothric Knight helm and legs. It looks pretty cool.

It is. It really is the absolute worst game in the series, but with that being said, I still enjoy it. I played it all weekend. Holiday included.

The thing is, it's better than Dark Souls 1 in certain areas. But the overall package loses out to both of its predecessors under any sort of scrutiny. But with THAT being said, The Ringed City is fine.

It does not deserve to be lambasted for the introduction of the eponymous city. Especially not for what you're implying. That kind of thinking doesn't promote growth or creativity. It looks like it does, but it doesn't.

I have been the host attacker (no summons, ever) for over 50 times and its not a 1v3... if you're not complete trash you can kill the first guardian before the spear spawns... you have 15 +10 estusses and he 0, he either has to sacrifice SL increase in order to get healing abilities or you have to be bad/unlucky enough to let the second guardian heal him.

As a solo attacker i have a 95% Winrate and as a boss against a summonless attacker i have a 65% winrate...

Its really about skill, you dont need phantoms to win at all.
