Nope. They got nerfed big time. Although the good thing about shadow priests is how sturdy they are and an execute mechanic so they're good for progression. Also, the better your group gets, the worse you become since the fights get shorter. Also good in council style fights of which there is currently 1 (ONE) such fight. The only thing that gets me about Shaman, and this is what's gotten me in previous expacs, is that I really really can't get over the fact that lorewise they can get their powers denied to them by their power source at any time for any reason at all.

It's a silly thing, I know. It just makes my actions feel so hollow, since they feel like they're the actions of other beings using me as a vessel, who may leave me anywhere at any time for any reason in any situation.
