He's an early game hero with 0 base armor that gains 3 armor in 20 levels, who can get a fifth ability but who never has the mana to use it.

+0.5 Int growth
Base armor to 2
+10 movespeed
+4 base damage

His skills are fine. His stats are awful.

Devour is good
Scorched Earth is good
Infernal Blade is fine honestly. Lvl Death was better if weird but eh.
Doom is pathetically low damage but you can take the Doom DPS talent and it's a 17 second mute/silence.

His problems stem from his incredibly poor stats making him difficult to fight with early on a hero whose skills don't scale.

The biggest problem PL has is the hero was entirely balanced around diffusal. His illusions were made weak as fuck because the sheer amount was sufficient with a diffusal.
Diffusal was nerfed several times, to the point where illusions benefit only very little, general illusion nerfs came on top of that.
The hero is the biggest victim of grand scale nerfs that were unnecessary, icefrog just didn't want to admit his mistakes overbuffing shadow demon and instead nerfed illusions as a whole.

troll warlord can manfight her. Dragon knight with satanic can actually outlast spectre though you will rarely see this. Satanic DK basically out-tanks anything and when he is buffed soon he will have a place in the game for delaing with heroes like spec and lifestealer specifically i imagine.

as a somewhat experienced spectre player i hate fucking euls sceptre. buyable early and annoying 120 minutes into a game/can spell your doom with one support getting good positioning.
