I feel the same, the main problem I had with it was Asriel going "How about we not" and Chara barely argues with it.
Apparently Frisk is really dangerous and can cause serious harm to Asriel/Monsters and Chara who was all for getting rid of the threat just decides not to.
Chara even refers to Frisk as "it"
This is merely business for them and they are obviously willing to kill Frisk so it seems odd for Chara to have a sudden change of heart.

You could be right about the ulterior motives.
I could see Chara promising Asriel that they'd take Frisk to New Home to meet Asgore and Toriel, but they're actually taking them to Muffet for another more sinister reason, which gets put on hold because no-one can resist Frisk's charms.

Fresh wall of text from Anon.Sorry I've been off my game recently. I'm on top of both Muffet tags but I need to catch up on the Undertale tags.
They are full of Chara, Frisk, Sans, the occasional Asriel, bad art, lewds, and the spectrum of AUs for each so they are a bit tedious to go through and get those gems.
or I'm a pansy compared to everyone else here who browses Pixiv.
Pixiv users also do a thing called an "Undertale Logs" which are usually collections of high quality Undertale images.
I never posted images from the logs because the images almost always come from other websites and its common for them to even date back to 2015.
and last time I used one I was called out on it.
I figure since the spiders have unfortunately slowed down it wouldn't hurt to try my luck with those collections.
I'll probably say it's a possibly fresh spider from the web if I use one from a log.

The "other websites" are usually twitter, and you should always try to save the pixiv versions of those images because pixiv doesn't compress images like twitter does.

So a week ago, I posted some garbage fic concept taking place after Queen Alphys ending a couple centuries afterwards, the monsters busting out and now it basically another monster vs. human war; humans taking up arms as adventurers ala your classic fantasy RPG. Going to be filled basically with 95% OCs anyway, but thought it would be fun.

To be fair, the Gaster stuff is not something you can just immediately learn, due to how the fun value changes from one playthrough to the next. That, and Toby has hidden a number of things within the game and its files, that are interesting to unearth, so there is precedent for hidden stuff.
The problem with a lot of 'common' theories started with a conclusion and filled in backwards. Like Charrator, it's crowbaring every line to somehow fit Chara. Or the whole 'Gaster wrote most of the True Lab entries', because they had proper punctuation. Or 'Gaster invented saving and Flowey' etc.

I do kind of dig the current fanon around Gaster.
That he wasn't a very good person at all. It paints him as a Gendo-like figure that never shied away from sacrificing others for his goals. Even those close to him. His main goal soon became to create an army of high powered monsters as weapons against the humans. This involved painful and invasive experiments against living test subjects. Finally at least one monster, whatever relation to him if any shoved his ass into that void right after he made the final journal entry. And he was so absorbed in his work he didn't even see the backstab coming.
And poor Alphys just found the creepy machine he had laying around and had no idea that despite the fact that her own experiments (Intended to help sick and and dying monsters) were creating abominations...
...The machine was working as intended.

well i have some old pictures from early as october of dadster, i think it's a case of the entire fandom (or at least parties that were interested) all talking and coming to the same headcanon that gaster is related to the skeletons from hints in the game and due to the popularity of the skeletons, the idea spread like wildfire. pic related i saved october 25th of 2015.

That's stupid though, it's a big part of his character, the fact that his deeds aren't permanent in the timeline where the game ends is a lucky coincidence at best. At the same time, he apologizes, he doesn't deny them or brush off the guilt and sacrifices his heart's desire for the greater good. Sure, you can say that's not enough and he should be executed, but that'd go against the TP route in general.

Muffet giggled at his deeply concentrating face and softly tapped her already placed fingers, as if she was trying to play a flute, or a harp. To her amusement, he made a slightly different whimpering noise depending on where she touched him, further adding to the musical shenanigans.
"I'm starting to think you were boasting, dearie." she said, flashing another grin. "Two hands and I'm almost at the top already. Or maybe this was your sneaky, dirty little plan all along?"
The shameful sideglance made her smirk. She reached for him again, and just the first finger was enough to reach near the tip. She adjusted her grasp just a tiny bit to pull downwards. The cool air did nothing to quell his fire when she finally touched the exposed glans. A light turn of her wrist let her palm rest straight over the head, engulfing him completely. The tiny spurt of pre against her palm only served to further her evil fun.
"Looks like you've lost sweetie." she giigled, squeezing just a bit to torment him. "But seeing as I'm a proper lady, so I'll double-check to make sure, alright?"

Eh. Fan fiction purposes. If I were to write an adaptation of the game, I want to start with a single Neutral route where they go through the Underground using both FIGHT and MERCY without conforming to either. They aren't on a mission to kill everyone or save everyone, they just want to go to the surface. They don't flirt with anyone, they don't date anyone, they aren't obsessed with power and stats, etc. At the end, I'd have it so they finally have to make a choice whether they want to kill or spare the golden flower king and prince, and that choice defines whether their next run is True Pacifist, or Genocide.

I thought Niko was a girl, but the little I have seen discussed here mentions Niko is a boy.
I'm sorry to say I kind of rushed through it during my playthroughs.
Oneshot is a really neat game anyway, it had better puzzles than Undertale but I didn't think there were not any really memorable characters in it. I also have mixed feelings about the ending(s),I would have liked a "True" ending, or a more definite happy ending.as it played out none of the current options were a 100% win, but on the other hand that kind of makes it more "charming" in a way, that I have to live with the fact that there was no perfect ending.
I'm not sure if there is much of a Oneshot fandom, at least not here. There are no Oneshot generals, and it does not get mentioned a lot in the Indie general either.
I guess I can agree with Niko > Frisk since Niko is actually "His own" character unlike Frisk who is more of an empty self insert for the player.
I also loved how the game talked directly to me, felt like I was doing something meaningful that way. I'd even go so far as to say it filled me with Determination.

As to why, I dunno, maybe the jars are linked to Asgore's magic like a lock mechanism, that's why Flowey couldn't just burrow his way to them, and he just remained steadfast in keeping them under locks despite whatever Flowey threw his way. That's the best I can come up with. To get rid of that angle would lessen both of their characters, why would I want to remove that?
