It's incredibly useful to have so that you can make your own shit, whether it's consumables for raiding or furniture/cosmetic gear. Oftentimes the markup on stuff will be absurd, a potion might cost you 2-3k to make, but it will be sold for 20k on the mb and you're gonna use at least one potion per pull.

They will put out "good" crafted gear at least a couple times during the expansion. Heavensward didn't have any at launch, but they put it out for 3.2 and 3.4. It's really good for starting out a raid tier, and useful for gearing alts afterwards.

You can always make money with it, but things are moving pretty slow right now just because of where we are in the content cycle. I find it pretty fun to do as well, I like coming up with my own macros and then just sitting there listening to a book or watching a movie while I make a bunch of shit.

using reddit recruitment is an awful idea
I once tried to recruit there for a speedkill group, asking that people have an A12S clear and good parses. looking for a warrior.
100%, that's every response, of the 11 people who DMed me did not have an A12S clear. the furthest of those 11 people, one had seen up to the second timestop. almost all of them averaged 50th percentile or less, and our most interesting response was a guy who played paladin, wanted us to run DRK/PLD, apparently didn't have time to raid more than 3 hours a week "because of work" and also wanted us to pay for his transfer.

that shit is a mistake.
