basically because giving up 1 of your cards at the start of the game is a HUGE deal even though it might not seem that way to you. Unless you go full retard discard with the felhound and shit you won't activate the quest at all, and even then it's unlikely that you'll activate it before the game is over, let alone having time for for the 5 mana portal to be valuable.

zoo atm is running 3 1 drops, having a quest take up a spot in your opening mulligan, then playing turn 1 do nothing instead of flame imp/void walker is a pretty big deal. You're now at a card and board disadvantage.

Also you do already get shit just for discarding cards now. By the time you discard all 6 cards needed for the quest the game is likely over anyway, zoo will just kill them before the quest is done most of the time.

The only way to control discard is with a small hand

The only deck that would be interested in the reward is control lock
Control lock doesn't want to discard 20% of its deck to activate the quest, nor does it want to have a small hand to mitigate the effects of discard
Zoo lock doesn't want to give up a card in the mulligan, nor do its matches last long enough to activate it

My favourite class is Mage, but I miss too many epics and Legendaries to make a viable deck.

My random drops however included Edwin, Patches and Sherazin. In order to be able to craft Archmage Antonidas, I need dust. And getting to a high rank happens to give you dust, so I use the tools I have at my disposal.

If a full collection of an expansion costed $50, I'd play all kinds of decks right now like a streamer and not give a shit about rank. But it doesn't, and not everyone has $400 to drop on a game.

You could argue that different plays would be made or different cards would be used but the truth of the matter is, aggro decks don't run out of steam as fast as they should for the amount of cards you dump just to make sure you're not dead next turn.

Pretty much, although like I said other decks run pirates, even aggro druid often runs the patches package. Plenty of decks run the patches package, just splash in a few pirates for that shit. It's very easy to get golakka value against anything, and hell at the end of the day it's still a 2/3 for 2 which isn't even bad.

It's funny because hungry crab is a 1/2 for 1 and it's garbage yet a 2/3 for 2 is very reasonable, that simple +1/+1 matters a fucking lot.

This has been putting in some serious work for me. Might seem weird without shadow words but it's quite legit, you just answer your opponents shit with your minions instead of spells for the most part. Only thing I might change is putting in elise and lyra instead of nesting rocs (I don't own the legos) but in all seriousness I might not even do that, rocs are fucking legit ESPECIALLY in this deck. Even just a fucking 4/7 for 5 mana, vanilla, would be amazing. Having taunt on top of that is insane, especially in priest, and especially vs. other priests (because of the 4 attack). It cucks aggro decks and is tough for control decks to kill, and it synergizes so perfectly with the inner fire combo. With so many minions it's so easy to proc the taunt on it. Really love this card.

WoW was created out of War3 popularity, they were swimming in money from WoW and so they got greedy (WoW destroyed the old blizzard), didn't think "mobas" were worth the investment. It's easy to figure out if you were around at the time, they probably thought that dota was just a mod and that the people who worked on this mod would go to sc2 and keep doing their mods there and everyone would follow them. What they fail to realize is that if you went to the getdota or downloaddota or whatever it's called you could see each new patch getting millions of downloads. I mean you know how the LoL and dota2 community are at odds, they used to be 1 giant community in dota1 before LoL was created. The thing is that blizzard looked at those numbers and thought well this won't make us any money because these are just people like in broodwar who play pirated copies and would never pay for the game. I don't think blizzard ever made enough money out of broodwar to justify the huge esports scene. Sc2 would work great with a cosmetics system like dota2 has, but they can't see past immediate and guaranteed revenue. Luckily Valve is a little smarter. There is a reason they got together with riot once dota2 was in the works and tried to sue and do all sorts of copyright shenanigans.

Not really, but I get the feeling that HS isn't really meant to be played constantly so playing for like two hours a day would probably make you want to kill yourself because it's always the fucking same and it doesn't even have the community aspect of real card games.
