Post the dick you netdecked. Midrange is try to setup for Reaper if possible in the early game. Start dropping board floods if the early game passes without anything notable happening. Control with stuff like Lurching Corpse into Soul conversion, Necroassassin, Orthrus, Soulsquasher, or Death's Breath if you're the one behind.

Midrange Shadow is probably the most modular deck in the game with the sheer amount of good Shadow cards there are now as well. There's a lot of tech choices, alternatives, and preferences in Shadow's 2-4 slots. As well as the decision to run one drops. Skull Beast is not to be disregarded as those two shadows are meaningful early on and can be the difference for a Soulsquasher or Death's Breath..

I don't believe this is the case for MtG and FoW. I just believe people have a bad habit of following FotM as opposed to the FotM actually being OP. I see success in this game using Control Blood right now, but it doesn't matter if I have a 70% winrate with it at all because people are wrapped up in following the 'pro' players despite plenty of other people in Masters having good success with 'off-meta' decks. Lost 4000 points trying to make Haven work in ranked. It's probably me, but even with the le invincible turn 9 do nothing, she doesn't have much going for her. Seraph gets boned by aggro and dragon's everything. Aegis is usually too slow and the hag is in the red ready to be lethal'd before or even when it's already out. Can't really say much about le edgy french lady of visions and burning stakes, though, so we'll see if anything pans out in her direction.
