Persona 5 will be even MORE popular than Persona 4
P4 in my opinion was always far superior to P3 in what mattered. The characters in P4 were far greatly developed over P3, dialogue and exposition was far more detailed and frequent in P4, the social links were better, the mechanics were better (could control everyone lmao), and the dungeons were slightly more refined. The rest is really subjective, such as which characters you like more, and which plot you like more. However, going from P4 back to P3, you can clearly see the delivery of exposition and gameplay is nowhere near as good and fine tuned as P4's was.
The same is the case for P5.
Though which game people like better (like with P3) is purely opinion. Personally, after playing P5 I still prefer P4 overall, because I really liked the game's story and characters, especially the ending of P4. P3 really lost a lot of ground for me before FES because the Journey left me w/o a real resolution. Which is why the Answer was made, they knew they messed up there.

I'm not very far, but I'd say no. He works exactly like Kanji, which means you should only be using electric when something's weak to it, don't worry about the damage of it at all.

I even recommend losing his Mazio type skills because he should rarely be using SP anyways and you can use the space for more passives and physical skills.

Just finished the game a little bit ago. Managed to avoid all spoilers and went in completely blind. Final time was 112 hours and 41 minutes. What a fucking fantastic game. This has probably been brought up many times, but I just finished the mid-late November thing and I have a major issue with how things played out.

I don't think I'm missing anything, but how did your group know for certain that Akechi would not go to the interrogation room asap and take Joker out? Them relying on the fact that you'd persuade whoever was interrogating you to just show the phone to a specific person is really stupid. As is the assumption that you'd get interrogated in the first place. And even if they knew that, who's to say Joker wouldn't be taken to a different place outside of Sae's Palace? Surely there's the possibility that the nearest police station is in use or is somehow unequipped for this specific situation.

Is it explained later on and/or am I just being a humongous fag about it?

He's got two different conversations at the bakery, one before you beat Kaneshiro and one after. Not sure if he keeps showing up at the bakery or around town afterward.

He shows up at LeBlanc eventually once a week where he'll have two different convos, but sometimes he'll leave after the first. Save before you chat with him and reload if he leaves right away.

I have to basically reroll for guaranteed Luck level ups. There's also no way to raise stats directly aside from this, whereas in P4 you had the after battle bonuses and P3 had the stat boosting items.

Yeah, anything related to the human psyche you can easily summon persona into, if you train hard enough you can do it in the real world, but the only Characters able to do this(not counting P1/P2) are Akihiko, mitsuru, and Fuuka, with the former two still having trouble doing it, hence having evokers on them still.

Ultimax was a special case...But it's never really explained. Like everything in that game.

I dunno if I agree. The general framework for being a party member in this game is all there (shitty adults, repressed feelings due to said shitty adults, a chunni streak) and party member swap is something that probably should've been a mandatory perk

the main thing is that she'd need a different arcana, because humans not having persona from arcana death or higher is a pretty consistent rule atlus has with "new" persona and I dunno if she'd fit any that aren't already taken and also I feel like any ideas hifumi had ended up going to makoto, as being the strategist and the queen nickname in particular fit her shogi theme really well
