I haven't played HoTS as much as I did but now I'm playing it a bit more(more heroes, better talents, etc, game is fun again).
I was rank 1 or whatever it was called in 2015, and I'm still pretty decent at the game I'd say, but I don't play ranked right now simply because I don't know every hero as well as I used to and don't want a bunch of people blaming me for banning something I shouldn't or picking something that isn't meta.
I played HL the other day and picked Li Li for support and my teammates were having panic attacks(we won), apparently Li Li isn't good anymore i don't know man.

Double Strike is fucking crucial on 13. Q talent is pretty good, but it really doesn't match up to 75% extra AA damage.
Double shield amount on 16, it essentially doubles your lifesteal.
Bolt or Maelstrom upgrade, it starts generating a shitton of shields at that point.

They probably store all the announcer sounds for one character in a single file so they would have to reprogram how it all works. Not worth the time spent on fixing it.

The gifting is a similiar case except probably a lot more complicated but might make them more money so it might actually happen. Reconnecting can probably be improved but it will still be the same system where you have to play back a part of the game before joining in

Yep. To be honest it was the first good game made around Aeon of Strife. HON was pure garbage, Dota 2 is an unholy mess that only cares about tournaments (and it's stupid to focus around 0.00001% of your player base).

LoL was beginner friendly and pretty polished.

I'd say heroes is even more beginner friendly and more polished than LoL, but... LoL was here first, so a lot of people will stick to it because that's where they already have spent thousands of dollars and it's where all their friends are.

Forget matchmaking and all that shit, what makes QM so terrible to me is the amount of heroes that are so absurdly reliant on the rest of their team and enemy team's composition is growing and growing to the point where you now have Murkies, Gazlowes, Abathurs and Probius all over the fucking place, and on the same team.

Like why the fuck anybody would ever play Abathur in QM is beyond me, but they're as common as Novas and Valeeras, and they always do nothing but drag the team down 90% of the time because the comp just can't support him. I wish they'd do something about THAT shit. I can't fucking stand Abathur.

How do I play these fuckers? Talents don't seem hard to figure out, I'm talking about overall strategy. HOTS is by far and away the best moba

its super casual so people can get into it without learning much of anything where as all the others have a huge learning curve
its games are very very fast with each game taking about 10min less than an average league game and fucking like 5 and a half hours less than an average DotA2 game

it also isn't afraid to experiement and introduce new mechanics, have multi unit control, and remove turn speed which are all improvements on the other two major mobas currently on the market

it is also far more recognizable than the others with characters from blizzard franchises

Thanks! I watched the whole video in post 2. The XP soaking is a little reminiscent of Meepo's power leveling, but relevant to the whole team because of how HotS' XP works. I think I was missing the fact that unlike Meepo, he's absolutely shit in fights until you get stun on Olaf's charge and FotS, and even then he's more hit-and-run. It's actually okay to keep the vikings in really passive positions early, especially because teleporting to each other has a long-ass cooldown. I was actually surprised at how effective FotS looked, I didn't notice it did additional burst to the struck target even though the spread only goes to minions. Also need to use the speed boost more, super handy when combined with the jump.

How the fuck is Chen "Not optimal?", and how the fuck is Gazlowe "Viable"? Chen is easily leagues more useful than Gazlowe, and Gazlowe is much easier to counter than Chen. Granted just CCing Chen out of drinking is a counter, but for one, he's a Bruiser not a legit Warrior, and two that's still one CC being dedicated to Chen, who is still a bully regardless.

Gazlowe couldn't bully a fucking child, he's got nothing going for him.
