If anything, you'd probably have run it into the ground within 6 months if you were behind the wheel.

Finding the right balance of, well, balance, in a genre of game where 'pay to win' is more than just a catch phrase, is hard. If it were possible to make a good team and have a viable chance of winning with little to no purchasing, then for what purpose would turbowhales drop thousands of dollars every month? But without those turbowhales dropping mad stacks of cash every month, how do you survive? Staff and artists don't work for free. The servers don't run themselves.

I mean, I have some ideas. That monthly crystal package is a step in the right direction.

If every single player spent 5 or 10 bucks a month, rather than most spending nothing and a few spending thousands, balance could probably be achieved without leaving the whales out to dry.

Problem is that most players won't spend money, no matter what. BB could add a package where you got a 5* of your choice, purchasable once a month, and price it at 5 bucks, and 90% of the player base still wouldn't buy it. Most of the players in any given mobage only play for a few minutes a day, and have no intention of ever making any commitment to it. Even Soccer Spirits has a lot more players than you probably realize, but most of them stay under the radar in various ways.

Really, the only way a mobage can be made viable is to cater to those players that DO spend money. And since there are only a few of those, you need them to spend a LOT.

But you still need F2P players for the whales to stomp on, or else the whales are only fighting each other for the top spots in the rankings. Conversely, the F2P players need enough bones tossed their way to keep them in the game, if only to serve as fodder to keep the whales spending money to stay ahead.

Like I said, it's a hard balance to reach.

The real reason is that after the initial great start for a new player the game gets repetitive really quickly if you don't go hyperwhale.

The best way to fight that would be better rates and way way way more players released (bi-)monthly, changing meta for hyperwhales, regular stuff to look forward to, more projects for everyone (even f2p), way more possibilities and creativity in teambuilding, more interesting mechanics, more situational counters depending on the enemies team etc.

but instead all we do is grind out the next cot/cod, invest in the same players we've had for 2 years, +15 another set of stones to get another useless unique.
Or go full waifumode and max whatever you like, but it's still the same process.

It sucks too because this game has tons of potential.

I've tried a few other CM passers but they do the same thing.

It's something to do specifically with Bell I think. The AI prioritizes her for some reason despite the fact I rigged the stones so Meiran SHOULD be the better target.

Unless the AI is taking into account Bell's attacking bonus. That's got to be it, there's no other reason the AI should pass to Bell the way I have her set up.

I guess the next step at this point is to just bench her. Legendary or not she's just a liability.
