I thought that part of the endgame was great. My problem was the build-up to it. I said in a previous thread that I thought P3/4 did the December build-up better. P3 had the town slowly covered in graffiti, with Apathy Syndrome victims being found everywhere and people raving about a death cult. P4 had the town slowly enveloped in a fog, panicking, screaming about the end of the world through gas masks and in general going crazy. Both give a clear reason to think things are completely wrong. P5 just sort of has the entire public talk less about the PT and basically continue on like they did before Shido's dungeon. It's still weird, but that contrast between how the town used to be there versus how it is at the moment isn't as strong. And we don't really get that until you go down into Mementos and things get fucked up.
