I like that even hard mode is bullshit in the last couple chapters. There's no real way to respond to anything that targets something other than your tank. All you can do is hope to disable them with specials before they kill your characters. Healing doesn't work because unless your healer is the one getting hit they're not going to charge their special in time, and even if they do it won't be enough compared to the incoming damage.

Why bother making a Hell mode for the 20 whales that can actually do it and have no reason to? VC's endgame is literally nothing. It's either go whale or go home. No big surprise that almost everyone here already dropped it.

So how exactly do I get stronger in Houkai?

I finally got to level 30 but it feels like the stages are leaving me behind in the dust. Should I focus on evolving my stigmatas? Work on trying to evolve my 3*/4* weapons even though they require various 4* mats that I have absolutely no idea where to get?

Also what are good stigmatas to get and use if I haven't gotten anything nice from gacha? (And how far will this set of poverty stigmas carry me?)

I'm really curious to see if Colopl has anything more planned to celebrate their anniversary. It's kinda weird that it already hit, but there's no plan nicely laid out in an announcement.

Without knowing if they have anything special planned, it just seems like the game is progressing backwards. They're removing guarantees, making it harder to earn gems, making the main characters not a part of the main story (except 1 person), not introducing new game modes, and ignoring existing game modes.

Not convinced she's as amazing as some are saying either, but I haven't had any problems with clearing speed so far.

Transformed moves around and kills stuff fast enough, with S2 charge spam for bosses or big crowds.

Untransformed is pretty slow, but rolling attacks get her around and kill off small fry pretty well.

I played often with people who didn't had them maxed out. Fuck I was one of them. Sometimes I even see not maxed out Tsukis and Taiyous. Also everyone can't have only gravities too. There has to be one guy who actually can kill things. So instead of a gravity you can use Kunito or his green counterpart or use the Sayo and Nightingale combo. That said the dark gravity needs a more light heavy team to beat.

Her skills also do extra damage against Chaguma enemies, making her especially good for that.

Plus the boss is weak to lightning and pretty much immune to everything else. Which I guess is why she got lighting shinki, despite her water motif and whale theme.

the starting roll gives a valiant which is the equivalent of a seven knight for this game. i went in without a guide but if you want to min max make sure offensive type characters have proper auras (a mage with a magic emphasis aura for example) but even still by the time you can even respec you could probably change one you didnt like.

other than that follow the maid quests and dont jump ahead beyond doing story mode because they dont count retroactively.

all the valiants are good. 4 star units can be really great. try to make a team with some synergy. dont blow your gold trying to +15 1~2 star equipment

rerolling is pretty annoying. I only did it one time and got shizu which is who i wanted.
I think names are unique and bound to accounts so you cant make another name and you cant change it after.
Similarly you have to use a new account name if you dont register with facebook but I dont know if they email has to be real. I heard you can just type in fake emails since you dont need to verify anything but dont forget it i guess.

Is there a trick to know where to go in these houkai gaiden missions? I keep hopping from island to island randomly until I find the last one but I have a feeling I am doing something wrong.

i wouldnt say its very fast but its not hard to get. just go through story mode while doing the maid quests will speed it up. youll be getting gems from achievements as well but after you do your 10 draw during the event they give you back some gems for the first 2 10 draws so it speeds up afterwards.

Portals you haven't been in have a pillar of light, portals you've been through don't. So you can at least avoid going around in circles.

There's also sometimes a purple pillar around the boss island, so sometimes you can try to head in that direction. But sometimes the warps are weird and that doesn't help.

Other than that, haven't noticed anything.

Its a lot easier if you have the energy potion, without it its a bit tricky. Make sure you're EP is full on all 3 of your characters from the previous floor, and get as much out of it. Practice dodging the boss and learn when you can safely attack him by practicing the story mod. Btw, I'm sure you felt the difficulty spike when you came to this rank, and it gets even worse when you move up to the Eye rank. I was able to get to floor 20 on Ankh but I couldn't get past floor 5 on Eye. This is why I just stick to Ankh level.

To be honest, Anhk/Eye tier is starting towards whale tier if you want to succeed in earlier commander levels. Character level, skill level, and character rank all matter as much as your equipments.

For equipment, definitely get your 3* weapons to 4*, which is relatively easy as it only requires 3* materials. Evolving 4* weapon, requires a material that you can only get by breaking down gatcha-only 4* weapon, so it not really feasible.

Likewise, max your 2/3* stigmas. If you need help on deciding which one for which characters, post a screenshot and I'll try to help. Try to get nice offensive bonuses on it if you have extras, such as shield damage bonuses.

And of course, you can continue to git gud. Even if you whale till you go into debt but you can't dodge then you are kinda screwed.

I mostly use White knight Kiana/Assault Mei/Saint Kiana for most things but putting together the optimal stigmas for every character as a new player is hard so any suggestions on what should go on who or what stigmas to farm/work on?

Ive only bothered with doing double at the most on normal so far. The amount you get from just doing quests adds up so its not that bad but you can consider redoing the simple quests (win without skills/no deaths) since it helps you get to 400. Most important is her passive that affects the whole team, gives a shield that blocks damage and flinching, and fully regenerates after seconds of taking no damage.

The shield's HP and recharge time is improved per level, I'm rank 71 so it gives me 493 HP and recharges in 6.1 seconds. I guess around rank 30ish expect 200-300 HP and 8 seconds.

Her active drains SP per second and makes you melee, if you hit an enemy under the weakened status, your team gets HP per hit (99 for me) so you expect it to heal more than half your total HP typically.

Her non-charge attack has a very very high chance of causing weakness so you can definitely rely on healing with her active.

I don't know the rest, she isn't very fun to play but extremely useful as a defensive support character.

Base 4* weapon is usually better than 3* weapons for their skills, but fully evolved 3* weapons are about as good in raw power.

From what you have, I'd use ranged damage boost for white knight Kiana (2 Wang), melee damage for Mei (2 Bathory), and the crit damage for Saint Kiana. As for other slots, I don't see good options because it overlaps with the ones you need for the 2 set bonuses. For Kiana try to get QTE damage bonus as her QTE is so strong, or divergence skill bonus. For Mei, just as much raw damage as you can. Saint Kiana you might want to add on HP/def stigmas to make sure she doesn't die early.

For stigmas, i just anything that improves damage and a laser weapon. Laser does the most damage of all of her weapon types but only at point blank range. She is not mobile at all but her block fully blocks damage for a while and if timed right acts like a parry.

I can't really compare her to saint Kiana since I don't use her, but I'd say Bronya's shield is far more useful. Kiana can do more healing overall, but you wouldn't need to if you don't take damage. Kiana probably does more damage and is more fun to play though.

Right now I use SS starter Mei with both purple Bronyas for the abyss, shield Bronya for support, starter S Bronya just for her vacuum active + stun, then Mei's double branch to decimate everything sucked in. Yea, I use all bio team with S Kiana leader and S Kiana friends for the +60% crit damage up and +40% damage up. But even then I can't overcome the robots in harder stages, so I used to run Saint Kiana, but I recently got Rose Himeko so I use her instead.

You can get pieces or the complete character. Any of the S rank characters would be the best since you can only get them through the gacha. Everyone else can be farmed, albeit it takes a while. All of them are good choices, S Himeko is pretty strong.

Puzzle of empires is a game everyone forgot about but is still in the OP docs because the guy managing it is a lazy fuck that hasnt updated it or moved it to archives even though everyone dropped it several months ago, the puzzles you're referring to is a different game.

They're decently generous and getting an L isn't automatically that good as it more depends on the units you have.

They actually buff and debuff characters on the reg so that's not really a problem. It's more PvP than anything.

It's a PVP game so there's no real endgame as you'll always have people stronger to battle and every match is different.

The game actually becomes better in endgame which is when you've memorized every character's skills so you could start attempting to predict what you're opponent would do next while at the same time strategizing your own plan.

It never really clicked as, while the core gameplay is decent, it does get tiring to play as you will lose a lot thanks to the PvP nature. Also events just boil down to doing that over and over again so unless you really like the gameplay, there's no reason for you to play it.

Kinda way I think that one Othello game that is huge in japan is rarely talked about here.

I stopped mainly because my phone has no space fucking shit iphones.

I think it would be hard to do. Sure there's tons of demons that could fill the gacha, but they'd probably quickly run out of content unless they made a bunch of mobage exclusive stuff. Even then it would just be your standard turn based jrpg except now you'll be cockblocked from getting your ideal team.

The problem would be more of progression than anything unless everything somewhat on an equal playing field. Pixie is practically a level 1 monster when we get one, but then there's Wukong at endgame levels. Of course, if they did make everything equal, then the game itself loses one of the core features that's been part of the game since it was introduced, where we are constantly upgrading our team with new demons. One way to go about it is if we go an odd Persona route, where we get characters that are limited to just their Personas, and we add rollable demons to them that give stat boosts + skills + passives. But that's just another, "roll for character, roll for weapon" game then.

Plus, Persona is shit.

Yeah the whole fusing part would be an issue. They could just make a fair amount farmable and have higher end demons in the gacha or things you would need to fuse them. But that would still be a little weird. Fusion just fucks everything up.

Nah do daily pulls only on good gachas, usually someone will mention when one comes around. You don't really need a team for each element either cause your team usually has a bunch of elements dependimg on leader skills anyway. Early on and in between good gachas like this just collect free units that pop up, the fire girl up today is a pretty good damage buffer.

Trying out Valkyrie Connect and its a neat game but i think it might require too much time from me. Is there a simpler game to play in short burst that dont require a ton of attention. I Tried Potion Maker, Terra Battle
