The official wiki even has the timers now, all they really have to do is incorporate a UI element in game to represent that data like they do with the BLTP.
They don't even need to set festival times ahead of time, they can literally do it the day of, just so we know when it ends. Just use it so guilds can set dates for shit, and bring back weekend bonuses whenever anet feels like it.

No, some of them need multiple people.
Thaumanova, for example, needs you to have multiple people on buttons for one room. It's possible to have a mesmer do both button 1 and button 2, but not all 3.
Chaos needs four people to light the fires right before the final boss.

It depends on what you like to do. If you want to join a big organized guild and run scheduled hardcore content Raids have really catered to you.
If you enjoyed exploring new maps there's 4 small new ones but they'll cost you gems.
If you enjoy decently difficult 5 man content you can run fractals but the only real raid level thing in there is 100CM. 100CM is tons of fun though.
If you like PvP they've tweaked ranking and rewards a lot, a long with a bunch of other stuff I don't know about because I don't pvp.
If you like WvWvW go fuck yourself. Sorry.

Since the xPac dropped the game has been getting progressively better. They're actually working on balancing (and doing a good job at it), and the endgame content actually feels challenging and rewarding. The only downside is that it's suffering from content drought-itus, but it IS f2p so they're going to be slow about it.

Me too, but realistically that's going to make the entire situation messier if anet doesn't actually tackle the fact that traits as a concept aren't working. They don't provide nearly as much build diversity as they believe it does. By introducing elites as a trait line, they've just done what they've usually done which is pile shit on top of shit in hopes that people tolerate it.
A template-building tool needs to exist where the traits currently are.
Actually now that I think about it, the hero menu entirely is way too fucking messy. That should be anet's next big feature patch but oh well.

I don't have a problem with the current system at all, I just wish I had the freedom to trade between builds. I main ele so I'd love to play zerker normally and then be able to easily swap to support if a team needs it, but I'm far too lazy to change my traits and skills and everything in the current system so I don't even own the armor I'd need. Don't think I'd ever bother to use it if I did.

I actually went about trying to make a burn warrior centered around Powerful Synergy and King of Fires. However, it's infinitely less effective than just pressing fucking F1 with the mace because the mace can also take all those passive stances while the King of Fires sword/torch/longbow build had to use utilities in order to make more fire auras. This game is absolutely disgusting.

Traits destroyed any hope for templates. Trust me. The way that traits work kind of fuck everything up. Obviously, any competent dev would just work around it, but this is anet and traits do some really bizarre shit like replacing affected skills with new versions of themselves. Moreover, GW2 itself has always been just one giant work-around anyway given how the engine is from like 2004 and any given action in GW2 is delicately held together by single, fragile strands of spaghetti code rather than any coherent system.
The worst part about GW2, though, is just how absolutely worthless most classes are and how much worthless bloat is in every class to begin with. GW2 is suffocated with artificial choices and then they go ahead and add Revenant (which is later replaced by a fucking rune set after its single passive gimmick bonus is nerfed by 17%). Anet is shit and the people who support them are worse than shit.

You picked the worst class to level but honestly it's so damn rewarding.
The game isn't like other MMOs in that once you pick a class you're set into a certain playstyle. Experiment and have fun, especially while levelling! Use the traits you want! Use the armor stats you find cool!
It only really matters when you get into raids and the more intense stuff where you'll probably work your way towards a meta build. But like I tell all new players, DO NOT worry about that stuff yet.
