I'm considering writefagging a short Mhuman/Femtur story, with the basic premise being sometime during the Reaper war, a contingent of human fighters lose their carrier during a battle and land on a turian warship whilst in retreat, and are accomodated to bunk in odd places in the meantime. A senior officer on the vessel (perhaps the XO or a random OOD) takes in one of the pilots to bunk with her after recognizing his name. She happens to be his former interrogator during the Relay 314 Incident when he was captured by the Turian navy.

Main themes will focus on forgiveness, reconciliation, empathy for suffering (no levo food for days until resupply perhaps, or flashbacks to 'enhanced interrogation' techniques)

Overall I want to make something comfy and fuzzy and possibly lewd, but I don't really have a good narrative for building an intimate relation. If any of you creative fuckers have any ideas, I'd like to hear em before deciding

I don't hate Bioware at all, I'm just very rarely satisfied with the romance options and/or the content of said romances. I feel like there are always more interesting or atypical choices they could have made but they usually end up going for the "safe" options. Like making Jacob a boring failure of a LI in ME2. I'd rather have Legion or Mordin. Even if they weren't "traditional" relationships, at least there would be a more interesting dynamic for them to explore as writers. Really like the premise, sounds great, perfect for a tight, focused story. Obviously would have to take place on the same ship over a relatively short time (no reason for humies to stay on board once shio finds safe harbor).

Perhaps the initial contact happens when the damaged carrier hails for help around the relay they just came though, which the Turians were headed for. Since the Turians don't want to jump straight into a Reaper occupied relay, the story takes place over a week or two or three as they FTL the long way first to the neighbor system where there is known human/levo-staffed raider/smuggler/criminal outpost they can get food first (good opportunity for MHuman to fight alongside FTurian he's probably been PTSDing over since he saw her, chance to shoot her in revenge in "friendly fire" & jeapordize his team or swallow his pride & earn his & team's respect & keep), then to closest system with a relay (other than the one they came from) to offload humans and return to war. Maybe leave an FTL comm buoy behind in first system and after they clear the raider outpost they get comms that the Reapers followed the human ship through the relay. This gives an opportunity for more plot outside of FTur MHuman interaction to perhaps fuel their bonding under the stress of being actively hunted by a Destroyer or two.

Anyway, it's a good premise in the first place with a lot of opportunity to create drama to spur the interplay between the two protagonists. Looking forward to reading it.

We only see two femturs in the original trilogy, and then suddenly in Andromeda, the majority of turian characters are femturs. It is a very abrupt change if you are used to seeing turians as predominantly male. Male quarians were phased in less abruptly in ME2.

I think the only Spectre's we've seen have been their race's special forces (N7, STG, whatever Saren's prodigy self was), but Garrus says they take candidates from C-Sec. Makes me wonder if there are any extremely talented mercenaries or private individuals that have been made Spectre's. Probably not a guy like Zaeed (infamous for personal sadism, though even he thought Batarians - goddamn terrorists - were too disreputable for the Blue Suns), but say Archangel Garrus succeded in taking out all the crime bosses on Omega - he didn't do it for money, but lead his own private, non-government group against the baddest niggers in the baddest systems (Terminus), using any means necessary, and got extraordinary results - would a wildcard like that ever be considered for the Spectres, let alone accepted?

This is how I've played the first three Mass Effects. To me, it wasnt playing myself in this universe, like it would be with Fallout, but rather following Shepard's journey.

This is because if Mass Effect was a true RPG, its story would not be possible. Seriously, if it had the freedom of Fallout, you couldve murdered Udina the first time you met him, or you couldve joined Saren, or you couldve sold Tali into slavery or something.

What Im saying is Mass Effect is the perfect way to do the story-based choice-based games that Tell Tale Games does, since theyre strikingly similar to each other.
