Her stats are pretty good too, though you probably want a -res +spd or atk nature, which tends prompts you to change her special to something else (although it's only a few points really).

She's not a bad blue lance, though unless you're going for fliers there may be a better choice. Clair and Lukas are also coming as blue lances, so you may want to check them out before committing a 5* upgrade.

So I bought Awakening a long time ago and got about halfway, getting burnt out every 1-2 hour play session before putting it down for good. The things I disliked were the story, the character interactions felt unmemorable and poorly written, and the missions felt like a long slog even with animations turned off. The only thing I enjoyed was the music.

Now I thought maybe strategy RPGs just aren't my thing but I tried out Stella Glow about a year ago and absolutely loved it. Finished the game in a week.

So I'm willing to give the FE series another chance. Any recommendations? I don't think I'll enjoy Fates from what I heard about it.

Res isn't a very good stat. It's good to take a hit from a mage but you generally want to one-hit mages as much as possible (well, anything really), so it diminishes it's usefulness, especially since you'll want to hit them with a melee unit that isn't going to receive counter damage (mages tend to have higher res than def, so physical units can one-round them more reliably).
The game is all about counter attacks, If one of your units can't counter a res attacker, you'll want to ditch as much res as possible for other stats.

It's also a high stat for her, which she can afford to drop, unless you really don't want to drop her special, but even then it's only a few points off. She also needs that +atk or +spd, so you want a - somewhere and res is just the best - overall.

You may want to try FE7 since it gives a good introduction to the classical FE style of gameplay. Stella Glow is more RPG-like than FE in general and the closest FE titles to it are Awakening, Fates and Echoes(The most polished game).

Her stat spread is similar to Catria's but with a def and res swap and a few minor adjustments. She won't be able to rush physical units as well as her and has to be played a lot differently. Her kit is more about tanking a magic hit from a slowass mage and then rushing them after knocking their speed down with the Threaten. After that she should be in range to spam Desperation to finish off melee units just out of reach from her.

Threatens on fliers are great in general due to being able to fuck up melee units trapped behind difficult or impassable terrain.

As for what to put in her A slot, probably Darting Blow/Fury/Sparrow Strike to make the most of Desperation. Moonbow/Reprisal activate on 2 strikes instead of 3 with a killer weapon, so those might want to be considered instead of Iceberg if she's -Res, especially if you're running Fury in the second case.

Would someone be kind enough to help a casual shitter out? Done with rolling for a bit so I want to know what's worth focusing on and promoting to 5* and I'm too stupid to figure it out on my own.

Up till now I've been focusing on Lucina (+SPD -ATK) and 5* Effie (+HP -SPD). Notable units and IVs are:

Camilla (Easter) +DEF -SPD
4* Robin +SPD -ATK
Both Xanders are + HP, one -DEF one -RES
Ninian +HP +SPD
Chrom (Easter) +SPD -HP
4* Nino +HP -SPD (I almost cried)
4* Camilla +SPD -HP

I'm not sure what to focus on. I was considering 5*ing Robin but is there a better use of feathers? Is there someone better to 5* and use, or should I focus on 5*ing units as skill fodder instead? I'm currently using Lucina/Effie/Camilla (Easter)/Robin.

Ninian is pretty good.
Sharena is a good blue if you feel your others don't work so well.
Your Effie likely kicks the blue competition out when it comes to offense though. Especially if you brave lance her up.
Robin is pretty good if you can get him TA, though -Atk is going to hurt a bit when he hits anything that isn't red or gray.
Corrin F is a pretty solid unit overall. Good blue wall and good debuffs.
Shanna is also good, but not exceptional.
Cherche, especially if +Atk, is amazing with a brave axe. Look into that.
Cecilia works like Robin, get her TA and she can wreck faces. Especially if +Atk, she doesn't really want speed though.
Bunny Camilla could be good I guess. Haven't rolled her so can't say much from experience, but she seems good enough overall. If you get the flier buffs you could put Nino's Blade tome on her and be amazed at her high Atk.
Camilla is decent but she needs work. Her brave axe isn't really good for her. Try and see if you can get a killer or silver axe (I think Gunter is the only one with the silver axe currently), to boost her rather low Atk. Otherwise she works rather well.
Bunny Chrom is pretty good. With +Spd he's pretty fast and can do quite a lot. Beware of mages though.

You have a good bunch of Odins for Moonbow, which is pretty good. I'd probably keep one around in case you roll a blue mage and want to pass his Blade tome.

Overall, always remember to use characters you like. With skill inheritance, you don't really have a reason not to.

I found it to be very useful when combined with warp. On more than one occasion I teleported Delthea to kill off some troublesome enemies and then warped her back either after she killed them all off or if things got dicey.

You get orbs in Story mode
But the important thing is that Arena gives feathers, which you need to evolve units with. If you're starting out, just pile through story mode with some 4 characters and try pulling ( wait for the new banner, Xander's kind of ass and youre better off waiting for the new units ) then level those. If you get a 5* then you're on the right track.
Story + Paralogues gives you gems, gems you can use to get characters which you'll most likely need to evolve with the feathers from Arena.

And Arena is the epitome of what matters in this game, as the difference between having one unit dying or failing a run can mean 400-1000 feathers. And you need 20k

Get used to only evolving one unit every 3-4 weeks.

Best FE to start with is Sacred Stones.
Try not to use Seth too much, he trivializes the game (Like Frederick but even better). There's also a unit named Duessel who is possibly even better that you don't want to overuse.

Low res and spd, so you should watch out for things that can take advantage of that.
One of the mages probably has enough res to be able to take a hit when baiting most other mages. With a red and blue I'd think Cecilia may be your best bet.
Honestly, a dancer is probably your best option as a 4th, but if you're doing well without one you can look into rounding a mage killer so Chrom and Ephraim can keep tanking physical hits.

Fliers are good at that and they also greatly help with mobility once you put Reposition on them (amazing on the bridges maps especially). A green one could help, but if you're going for Cecilia with TA she should be fine in covering blues and grays.

Kagero can be really good but since I don't have her I can't say how much she's worth. There may be less armored units since the update so maybe she's even better than before.
You want +Atk on Setsuna. +Spd isn't bad but her Atk is so low it actually hurts her not to have +Atk. Not sure how passable +Spd is since I don't remember the results from the calculators when Quadsuna come around, but it may be worth looking into them.
Ursula works better with a Blade tome and cavalry buffs, although I guess she could be made into a blue Cecilia.
Since you're not running Hone buffs on Chrom and Ephraim I'd stay a bit away from blade tomes.
