For what builds is Prisoner's Chain even viable for? Pretty pointless for spellcasters. Mostly see it useful for low SL or builds that needs VIT.

It's almost always worth it because the increase in defense from 15 more stats plus heavier armor from 5 more vit will counter the abs loss. The increased defense will also make weapons drop out of the 2.5xDef breakpoint which means you'll take significantly less damage.

The only way for SL matchmaking to work this late in the game's life is infinite up/down, which is basically what the last SM tiers do. Drop the agape ring and you will reach the common player pool like it was intended.

Bring a spear. If you're a strength build I recommend a heavy-infused 4 pronged plow. Generally speaking when you're fighting against ganks they get cocky and will fight you, once you delete them and the lone host starts running you swap to a weapon that can run them down. Simple.

The only things that stood out were infinite stunlocks and buff staking. A lot of the stuff people complained about were unnecessarily nerfed, like bow tracking, magic damage, mlgs buffing, old sun ring etc.
I think DaS2 launch balance wasn't the worst. It was certainy better than DaS1's final form.

you're more durable, spells are mostly for chip damage, zoning, and forcing your opponent to roll to catch them. anri's is buffable with resins/bundles still and gives you some hp regen while sitting around 400 AR unbuffed.

if you want to catch someone with some heavy dmg off something like the greatsword spell than using the staff's L2 is a must though.

you can also carry a bandit knife or something for bleed cheese with quickstep.

I personally just find it more interesting than a typical mage build because you don't rely on spells for all your dmg. and when people see the straight sword they all get hungry for parries and you get smack them with L2'd spells, or make them think you'll go for spells by using your staff's L2 and start bopping them with anri's after applying a fire/lighting bundle.

To compensate for the summoning nerfs, a WoB host now attempts to summon two blues by default. As a result of the literal doubling of blue demand, you actually get summoned more often than 'never'

DLC enemies get buffed to hell when there's summons of any kind and the seed nerfs means that 3v1 isn't terrible with enemies to back you. It's a good dynamic.

wow my dark sorceries actually do more damage than my fuckin' normal ones. Murky Staff has better spell buff than Logan's or Crystal Sage's. Even better when the Weapon Art is used. It isn't amazing cause I have basically zero defense, but dang. I really do like it.

If I used Scholar's Candlestick in my right hand with the Staff, would my Dark Sorceries get stronger too? Or does that only effect normal sorceries?

Basically you talk to Rosaria, do the respec thing, click accept etc. But you don't leave the conversation menu, but alt-F4 or Ctrl-alt-del-end-the-process instead. It means the rebirth "charge" isn't reduced by 1. Doesn't seem to work with altering your appearance though, hence my REEE.
