Malig does a better job of being a tanky mage in Fates than Dark Knight does. Not to mention it has some of the most ridiculous skills in the game with its AoE skill and extra damage to infantry. Camilla is a poor representative of that class' potential as a mage since magic is her worst stat in Fates. Elise and +Magic Corring completely destroy shit as that class, the main reason to have axe ranks on it is to spam Bolt Axe, the strongest of the magic weapons in that game.
