They don't have a time schedule for these, they kinda throw them up whenever. There'll be an announcement on their facebook page like 12 hours before it so can check their randomly. Typically for the astralfest it's like in the middle of the month but they did this one early. So likely next gacha will feature some new unit or some older good units followed by a new unit gacha. Best push story and beat easy missions to get enough gems to single every day of it, there'll definitely be one up in like a week.

If you want the best start wait for a fest or something. You can start now and grind gems to try to get extra rolls on a fest if you want, but starting outside a fest and not rerolling for one is kinda silly with how strong they are. You can play game completely fine with farmable free units and do just as well but a lot of the better cuties are festivals or special gachas. Too be fair there are some really bait gachas like the thief one earlier with lupin as the best unit and she's pretty subpar and there was some in between non-astralfest ones with disgusting strong units.

Bring a laharl friend that has at least 65 jewels. Turn 1 move him up the steps to the right a bit and tameru. Turn 2 run up to the knight/laharl/hydra and use his 40 jewel AoE which should kill or leave most of them near dead. Laharl won't move for like 3 turns so you have time to finish him off after that.

Use your own Laharl on turn 1 to 50 jewel AoE the plant/knight/thief

I can see that being true for characters like Etna and Seraphina, but I don't see anything unique on the two I'm debating about.
Only skill that that piques my interest is Almira's 3rd job Duelist if it can be used on your own units to buff +100% atk, but even then she would be just supporting.

Seraphina is one of the worst characters in the game. Almira is actually decent if you can get her to 75. She has like 180 speed and you can use her ronin subskill to debuff a mob with -50% defense. Don't know how Rin is.

Rin is a weird character - makai archer is basically a ranger variation that trades arrow rain for a large X shape AOE instead which I think is a worse trade. She also has a natural range of 4 instead of 3 compared to rangers. Not going to be doing much damage for you. The Nekomata class has a dex up passive and some AOE damage, but doesn't have any other damage boosters and is too squishy. She is pretty fast and has some counter skills which can first strike. Overall, if you have ever used a Yauras, then Nekorin feels similar.

In my opinion the best unit out of the cosplayers is Eroza by far. She might be the second best unit out of the entire collab behind Laharl.

Would be very nice if someone could translate the event stuff from Japanese to English instead of google TL stuff. Like the quests or the effects of that Mei stigma.

There's a 3* mei stigma, a Mei skin and other stuff available for exchanging like gacha tickets, enhancement fodder and materials. You get the medals for exchange from quests or farming them from the special mei stage up right now.

I cant get past the elevator loading screen on honkai CN, I already left it for like 10 min and stays the same, Im not sure why since I was playing fine yesterday on emulator

Since Cosmic Break is a game I've played in the past, I decided to let them jew me and spent $20 to do the starter gacha pondering how awful the rates could be.

Results:

Kougetsu Kagura 5* (unfortunately who I chose for starter reroll)

Rates aren't awful it looks like with 4*s being the most common result it looks like actually.

Also remember that she can be very fast, so it might be hard to plan since the turn order is still broken so you won't know exactly when her next turn will come. She has a pitiful amount of starting jewels even at 75+ so you might be to run around and whack some stuff to be able to use her abilities.

On the other hand, she has some interesting passives. The 2ch wiki says that the reaction ability on samurai gives her like a 50% dodge rate on direct physical attacks, then you have three really nice supports to pick from: one gives HP and attack up, one gives HP and defense up, and one gives speed up (~10%).

Seems to be a really interesting character, but probably not worth the investment unless you have over 100 green shards sitting around

However, I managed to see both flight sisters while rerolling and got Kagura in the end. Looking through the top pvp rankings, it appears Thoarla and a few other girls I don't recognize are also in the game, but no Ivis.

In a side gacha using an in-game currency of some sort is Lily Rain, Lazflamme, Jikun Long, and Winberrl.

You start with Crimrose as the main character so I assume Ivis ends up being relevant in the story way later down the line. You get a lot of the initial classic bots from rewards in the early story stages as you beat them and break some sort of brainwashing.

In the puzzle of Empire guide it mentioned aiming for two UR rather than one L. I managed to roll two UR but it appears that they are capped at 4 stars. Or at least that's my assumption since there's only 4 stars unlike some of my R or SR that seem to go to 5 stars. Does that matter or is just rolling any two UR fine?

The only place I could think of that would have information regarding CB was the Cosmic Break board on the chan that shall not be named, but it(the chan) seems to have died apparently.

Just going to give my general thoughts from playing so far.

Look for high attack, then high HP, then a decent seeming skill(AoE, special effect, I haven't seen them all so I can't advise much here), and a weapon that sounds like it shoots multiple times(auto attacks are in bursts so while the listed attack is the damage for each shot, there may be multiple shots or just one depending on the weapon).

Cost doesn't matter. Since you have way too low cost to use the highest rarity units early on, they get scaled down to half your max energy as that's what you immediately start a quest with. They still do way more damage than normal costing units though even when scaled down and as your max energy goes up, the cost decrease and scaling effect gets lowered.

Well besides my thoughts, there's also the pvp rankings. It seems a lot of people use the green haired girl who I can't remember, I think it was Tsukiyomi, but it's been years since I played CB. Around the top rankings I see more often as well Nemlim, Akane, Kagura, Luto, and that girl in 3rd place. Also Mighty Byne seems to be the best actual mech.

Floors 1-9 were just kill fast so you can get the heal boxes from enemy drops. You get a lot of SP boxes too so you can spam abilities. Floor 10 is where shit gets real with the cockblock bull.

I did most of it with White Knight Kiana + Assault mei with a Saint Kiana for healing. And on the previous tier I used Warrior Kiana instead of assault.

The guaranteed reroll is guaranteed 5*, but every roll after is from the same gacha, but with the lower rarities possible. It should be perfectly possible to get girls with the gacha tickets, it's just that there's a lot of miscellaneous mechas and variants of the same mecha in the CB universe.

You could potentially reroll until you get a Tsukuyomi and something decent from the tickets, but it depends on how well you can stomach the tutorial.

Gem gain doesn't appear to be particularly fast for this game, 2 gems from dailies and some gems for pvping and ranking which I'm guessing is on a weekly timer. PvP is versus AI and it's extremely easy to cheese which is good since there's rewards for streaking including gems.

There's a one time starter gacha that only sticks around for 72 hours after starting. There's some gems for ranking up and the first clear of every stage gives a large amount of rank experience so if you hurry you could roll it without paying. I started today and I'm at 70 gems so 150 in 3 shouldn't be impossible.

Though yeah, unless there's frequent events or something I expect bot acquisition to slow down drastically unless one pays. Though there doesn't appear to be any significant bonus for saving for 10-rolls.
