Mine has 10 magic, I deal 0 damage x2 on those Nine-tails no matter if I'm using a killer or shining bow. Shura had higher Str, comparable mag but lower SPD iirc, can't see the stats right now. Just give Odin nosferatu and he'll on average be ready to marry Nyx or Elise by chapter 17 if you do no paralogues in addition to making for a fairly strong tank. Honestly, I'd say Ophelia is still worse than him since she has less hp, skill and def and isn't really noticeably killing anything Odin won't be able too considering conquest gives you 4 spirit dusts for free and his only competition for them is really Corrin at best.

I don't use him, but I always figured you could do one of two thing with him:
Focus on his innate Tyfring+BA combo and give him Defiant Def and Threaten Atk (for extra survivability at low health) or Defiant Spd and Threaten Spd (for not getting doubled while doubling in return).
Or just make the most of a high atk, low spd unit and give him Death Blow/Defiant Atk/LoD/Fury, QR/a Breaker/a Seal skill, and a Threaten skill. Pretty generic, but I could see it working.
You won't get a god out of this, but you'll at least get a good unit.

-Atk, definetly. His defenses aren't event that solid. Compare his stats with Chrom, really. They're both pretty much the same character except Chrom has better Atk, Spd and Def and Seliph dumped it all on Res to go from bad to mediocre.

His attack is very good, his HP is monstrous, and his defense is very decent, but his speed is terrible so he will almost always take two hits, which foil completely his strength and turns his defenses lukewarm. Statistically he's high HP, high Atk "defensive" axeman like Arthur, Bartre and Bord.

More over his Skill set makes no sense all around. His sword buffs his defense when he's at low HP, when Tanks want to prevent having low HP in the first place. His HP +5 is fine for his role as a tank, but it doesn't save him given his speed problems. He has Brash Assault to supposedly help him double, but it cannot trigger unless he receives an attack, which is dangerous as fuck given he needs to take a hit in order for it to activate.

3 quick ways that would fix him while keeping him a tank would be:
>Reduce HP (45) and Res (18) and boost his speed to natural 30
>Change Tyrfing's effect from Defiant Def 2 to Armored Blow 2
>Replace Brash Assault with Quick Riposte
