Okay I caved in and bought KOF XIV on the sale for 20 bucks.
Holy shit the mechanics look fun and it doesn't look as ass as I expected. Why isn't this popular?

Hilarious because SFxT died out, when it actually wasn't that bad of a game with the patch, but SFV is still shit to this day and still widely played.

I just checked and they released that huge 2013 patch that revamped legit EVERYTHING in less than a year of the game's release. They also cared enough to make a fucking VIDEO of every change of EACH character. Also tfw even fucking PacMan got resources devoted to him for balance changes.

Remy had a fun gameplay loop. His cr hp putting a jumping into a state where you could juggle into flash kick was fun. The fact you can combo off throw also made him really fun, easily the best sonic boom thrower in the franchise.

If you took parries away from Chun and Q then it'd be a 9-1 matchup at best. Most top players agree 3S can't get much worse than 7-3 in virtually all matchups because of parries.

That does not mean they are parriable. He puts up a weird defense and, like every other character, varies which ones he uses.

He is only low tier because taunting and playing defense is, by definition, not a winning strategy. He's not any more vulnerable to parries than any other character.
