Why are brown haired girls always the best?

Guns are useless or nah? Is it worth using them after maxing Hanged man and Tower confidant?

Just got this yesterday and am a little confused about social stats.
I've done a number of knowledge and guts activities but neither has ranked up. I then went to the bathouse twice and my charm ranked up? Can someone explain this to me?

I just got a tutorial about the Phan-site being able to find you more mementos targets. Can you access it or am I misinterpreting?

Haru's Gun does a ton of damage and AoE if you have Cripple(Gun Amp basically) and the other Gun boost thingy on her.
Her severe Gun skill also does a shit ton of dmg per round, enough to be nearly competitive with Concentrate/Charge users for bosses

If Ryuji's at level 17, he'll have Rampage. Abuse that, and then take down the mouth with elemental skills. I'd recommend buffing your attacks when the mouth is low on health so that when the real Madarame shows up you can deal optimum damage and speed up the fight. Bring revival items, because the black status ailment is certain death for whoever is affected by it.

multi-target damage is more or less the best way. Certain paintings will absorb certain damage, but focus the eyes and nose first because you can deal physical to them but not the mouth. Eventually he will become weak to all damage when you paint him black

Take full advantage of stat ups that take no time, namely plant food, drinking a shake every week, and the free reading opportunities. You can pretty much steamroll with nuclear through the entirety of the game with about 90% of the enemies while just negotiating with any that resist/reflect it. throw the ultimate persona on MC, then laugh as you wreck the final boss.

Fair enough, if there's one thing about negotiation it was that you could do that exact thing. A lot of the time I'd just hold on to a card from a particularly annoying enemy so they'd just fuck off with no effort.

It's too bad the summon and fusion mechanics were such ass though. P5 pretty much improves all of that, except the fact you gotta hold them up first.

Honestly though, P5 is still miles better than P4. Original Chie and Naoto were horrendously miscast, even P4G didn't fix everything. Futaba is just sort of bland, she's not actively bad. The P5 actors aren't as great as Troy Baker and JYB, but there aren't any real stinkers in the cast either.

Persona 1's fusion mechanics weren't that bad. It's Persona 2's that was ass with getting a million cards for a simple fucking Pixie. The thing that I hated about P1's battle system was that not only did you have two levels (character level and persona summoning level) but you also had that godawful experience system.

It really triggered my autism to see certain characters be 10 levels behind. I deviated from the megido strategy several times to get them to catch up because it was bullshit.

P5's writing is... good? I'm not convinced it beats the best writing in P3P and P4 though. Maybe it matches it, I dunno.

The writing is more grounded, but it's no where near as funny, and in my opinion a lot less emotional. Makoto is the only character I feel for so far (and Hifumi, I guess?), whereas I felt sympathetic to pretty much everyone in P4.
On top of that, the more emotional scenes that are in there are in the Metaverse, where nothing is remotely grounded, so that positive becomes kind of void in these situations.

The other thing is that I feel like the characters are a lot less likeable. As a group, I'm really enjoying them, but I'm not sure which characters I particularly like individually. Maybe Yusuke? None of them are overly nice, and all of them are definitely flawed.

I think that saying that P5's writing is objectively better is to reduce what P4 does well, and what P5 does not so well.

They're both good at what they're going for.

How stats work in P1 is atrocious too. Better pump everything into Dex, Ag, and/or luck, because the other stats are mostly useless, and if you don't pump everything into 1 or 2 stats until they're absurdly high, they're just going to be overriden anyway.

Then there's the poor sods who put points into strength, only to see that Amon Ra has like, 90 or so it didn't matter anyway.

I would love a remake of persona 1.In my opinion, it's a really great game with a lot of obvious "why did they do this?" issues. The story is decent enough, the message is good, and the characters manage to be extremely likable despite limited development. Of course, this is all just my opinion but.
1. What you mentioned, go back for no reason
2. The final boss felt even more tacked on than Izanami, and felt extremely dissonant from like, 2/3 of the game.(The twist was nice though)
3. Going with the above. It's a god damn holy grail/jar.
4. The final arc of the game feels like an absurd power fantasy and it just rubs me the wrong way.
5. There was a lot less emotional buildup. The whole thing felt a lot less personal than in any persona game.
6. A certain traitor gets no meaningful conclusion of his character arc, and several other things are just randomly dropped outright. Plus leaving it ambiguous because "Muh spinoffs" or something, IDK.
7. I hated the final boss music
