To clarify those wondering in previous thread; No, Gilgamesh doesn't call Siduri a mongrel.

He gives a short monologue about his ascent as a king to reaching the point he's at now, and as part of it mentions how he once considered ALL people to be mongrels - including those loyal to him such as her. The point is that he grew out of that mindset, and that when he refers to modern humans as mongrels its because they've fallen in his eyes.

Her NP accumulation is good for a Berserker and she also has a skill that increase NP gauge each turn, so you don't have to wait long intervals before she can use her NP again.

She doesn't have a Mana Burst skill to increase her Buster NP, but her defense down skill works just as good if not better, since it affects all cards not just Busters. Her Mad Enhancement is also low, so her Busters aren't boosted much.

Her card artwork kinda sucks, but her sprite work and animations looks fucking glorious. DW's sprite crew created another miracle and saved another badly designed Servant.

The amount of weird EX rank ME Berserkers makes sense when you remember that class was designed mostly for summoning weak Heroic Spirits and then forcing a big stat buff onto them via ME

Servants who were already insane in one way or another while alive (and for more than just a brief period like Herakles) getting strange variants of the class skill seems like a natural extension of that. As does real-life Berserkers having some modicum of control over their rage, or the extremely disciplined having a low rank of it.

Plus, lets be real. Having the entire class be mindless brutes would be boring as fuck and its better that they're the minority.

Shirou is a special case because he was hacked in and doesn't qualify normally, and Jeanne was completely impartial when she was summoned. Laeticia's feelings for Sieg ended up reaching her and causing her to develop some of her own, but at the time she was selected to be the Ruler, she was utterly impartial.
