Yeah that's what I figured, thanks for confirming. Sea giants have been really good to me in this deck but fitting tirion in gives me a nice backup plan in case shit goes wrong, or just a finisher in general and a 5th weapon. In that list it'll be -2 bilefin for 1 fire fly, 1 tirion.

Also again if anyone could give me feedback on the list in general in regards to the meta and climbing the ladder to rank 5, that'd be great. I've been tweaking it all day and it feels pretty perfect now after this last change, idk if there's any other way I could improve it.

Midrange paladin is really good right now. Not sure this is the best list but it's working well so far. Ravasuar runts and primordial drake are probably the most iffy cards. If I had Tarim I'd try to work him in.

Paladin has a better early game curve, Grimscale Chum is insane against quest decks since you can play it turn 1 and they can't do anything against it.

Murloc Shaman just can't live up to Paladin at all imo, Vilefin, Grimscale, and Hydrologist are just absolutely insane compared to any of Shaman's murloc options.

The only reason to ever play Shaman over Paladin is Flametongue Totem I think.

Nah, the quest deck is quite refined already. You don't want to run anything expensive since the aim is to just complete quest by T5.

That's what makes it boring in my opinion, the games are over quite fast and you don't have much space to adapt to what the opponent does. Sure it's not braindead curving out but its games are so short it's pretty easy to tell when you have a good hand and not.

If you want fun "rogueish" gameplay then Malyrogue or petals temporogue is the way to go.

It's a midrange deck that curves out stupid strong with the addition of mage's dumb ass burn.

I think any and all future top quality Rogue decks are going to be Quest based. All the best value minions Rogues have or had access to are already < 6 mana, sub 5/5 bodies, with the exception of Gadzetzan Auctioneer, and miracle rogue suffers from the removal of conceal.

Cheap charge minions, battlecries, passive effects and even taunts all can synergize with Crystal Core and bounces. Suddenly Ironbeak Owl is back in the game as Quest rogue decks are silencing their way past taunts, frothing berserkers, 18/18 van cleefs, Lyra the Sunshard, and so on. Rogue runs 6 bounces in deck and mimic pod duplicating 2 cards.

Quest rogue is clearly disadvantaged against hard aggro decks and it's first day crazy success was to people playing slow, unrefined decks. Quest Rogue also has room for adaptation though- I'm seeing more and more adjustments from people every match.

There's absolutely no thought about curve whatsoever with the elementals BECAUSE you have to play the cards. Needing a card in your hand is one thing, but playing a card that enables the next card that enables the next card is piss easy because that's all the entire game has been about for years - playing on curve. There are so many good elementals that all enable the new synergy stuff and a lot of the synergy cards themselves are elementals, so you just slam one after the other and it doesn't matter. I fail to see where the supposed planning and thought comes in here.

At least the dragon synergy stuff gives you situations like "azure drake is the best play here but if I play it I can't use book wyrm or whatever next turn." Having to choose between making the optimal play now or making a better play later is huge compared to just doing something and then what you play later is better because you played optimally before. It's the difference between "do this OR that" and "do this AND that."

it's still a very strong deck because it works more often than not but i don't think it's as unbeatable as it looked right after release
