You don't need LFG for shit, Just run Heroic strikes (they have match making). Use ToC, open strike chests that drop gear in the slots you need, and open faction packages from your progress. If you're mostly in need of a ghost shell or an artifact then run Achron's Forge for a bit. Hell, opening purple engrams goes up to 390.

Don't be a bitch. I was 385 like last week. Grab all the pve bountys you can and grind strikes with a booster. Strike blues literally do drop up to 390. Then get packages and crouch walk into archons forge. Fill in weapon/helmet/arm holes with skeleton keys.
Once you get 392-393 the more chill guys will take you along.

It all depends on what the adds and the Templar want to do. If they feel like gangbanging the relic holder before the fight even really starts, there isn't much they can do without someone there to help them.

Most of the time, the adds will fly by them and go for everyone on the right, or they'll only gather together a little bit and the relic holder will be able to take them down with the relic's attacks.
