That's the first iteration of the deck. I never had Cerbs in the 5-slot. I may experiment with it but I need to craft her. This comes from someone who doesn't play dirt rune, take it as you will.

I find that it's pretty annoying in the early game, as a 2 drop that can't be killed efficiently with low mana, especially when played with 2 earth rites as a backup (thing scrap iron and teaching of creation/red hot ritual). But the later the game goes, i think it works against the dirt player, because it consumes rites that would be better used for professor of taboos or calamitous course.
But I guess the more aggro oriented dirt decks don't run in those kind of problems?

I also feel pretty comfortable with dropping Howl in the deck, its often a dead card in a deck that can flood the board every turn. Ive never run into a situation where I felt like I needed Howl to close out a game.

I dont agree with dropping Cerb though, she doesnt suffer the same problems as Howl and free damage is always welcome if it doesnt come with clunkiness.

I run a smaller engine than you. My only fairy sources are 3x Sylvan, 3x Whisperer, and 3x Circle.

I don't focus on big roach plays really unless it's available to me. Roach usually pokes or takes out anything potentially threatening while my big beetles will evolve and go for face.

howl is good as a finisher, if it can't be used as that, say because midrange is not aggro enough, then it'll just eat up your shadows to trade, which is not very desirable.
also you need an empty board to use it as burst, but here as well, you don't want to have an empty board as midrange, ever.

Control Blood typically eats aggro and some midrange, so my only problem is control matchup. Serpent is the pressure CB misses in this match up for a long time. Also If I can god draw blood moon, Righteous Evil, Baphomet and then Serpent, its auto win against any one besides heaven
