Warlocks are stupidly mana inefficient, we get oom after 10 shadowbolts when actually nuking stuff, and in dungeouns you normally have to dot 4+ mobs at the same time and its almost 4k mana which is pretty much all felcloth geared warlock has. If tanks were going slower locks could actually sit and drink, but everyone wants to just do it faster, and not wait for 30 seconds after each pull.

How viable is having an alt in vanilla? I was thinking of leveling a warlock really fast that would then be able to fund my main (Warrior), but it seems that leveling takes a long time here. Not to mention that I have the most fun being a warrior since I have to use everything (profs, consumables, etc.) to have him kick ass.

I don't think powershifting is possible in vanilla. For instance you can't go from Bear straight to Cat you always need to shift back to caster form.

For druid stance macros though I use the following:

It's a lot more viable than it is now. There's things you can constantly do on your main, but that doesn't mean you have to do them daily just to remain relevant. Rested XP was really important in vanilla and you can collect it by shifting between different characters.

I plan to level a Horde character so I can see their zones, as I don't fancy doing the same zones on another character. But you may want to do them again some time down the line.
