So, Paladin is awesome in arena now. Got me my first 12 wins!

Spikeridged Steed is a bonkers buff and Hydrologist is powerful as all hell. I ended up pumping out 5 Volcanosaurs in one match due to Getaway Kodos. I mean, it's crazy that my deck had neither consecration nor truesilver champion and I had little trouble keeping up with board presence.

Alright, guys. My dad works at Team5. Well, more like he just browses the internet all day and laughs at people complaining about hearthstone, but he's employed by Team5. He told me that they already have quest rogue nerfs laid out and are planning to release them after people refine their decks, so in 1-2 months or so.
The big nerf is that rogue quest will cost 2 mana. However, to not make it unfair, all other quests will be changed to 2 mana as well, but that shouldn't be a problem, since they're slow anyways.

Hunter has been decent in arena for a while now, and because Blizzard wanted to buff the class into constructed viability they just printed a shitload of blatant power creep cards like Jeweled Webspinner and that 3/2 that adapts a friendly minion. All those overpowered cards from Ungoro get a bonus to make them appear more often too, so Hunter should be really good in arena for the next few months.

Hunters usually end up with a lot of trashy minions, but it's not a big deal. You just have to take the cheap minions and the chargers so that you can cheese out victories with your hero power. Hunter is the only class I pick shit like Reckless Rocketeer in.

I quit the game for 4 months, came back and haven't lost a game up to rank 16. It's just a matter of time, I can't fast forward games but yes I see the rank meme is still alive and well here. Probably gonna quit again after getting the rogue portrait, both the game and this general are still pretty shitty. I said before I was gonna give Blizzard one more chance with the rotation to see if they could fix their game finally but it's still an aggro shitfest, mindless aggro decks still beat everything.

The word you're looking for is power creep. Last expansion it was Priest that got a lot of blatantly overpowered cards to make up for them being shit for a few months before that. Now it's Hunter getting Webspinner 2.0 and a 3/2 with a huge upside. This is how Blizzard has been balancing all their games since WoW was released. They just give overpowered shit to a different class every few months so that the game is never balanced, but they can claim that it's balanced because every class gets its chance to be bullshit. It's much easier to balance a game this way instead of actually paying people to carefully playtest their new content and catch overpowered cards before they're released. Less time spent on producing content means they can release more content faster on a smaller budget, which means more money for them.

Why dont hunters just, play their quest turn 2? That way you dont give up board presence turn 1.

Super versatile too, I've copied everything from Cairne for yeti flooding to Priest of the Feast for that extra 6 life.

Dragon Priest was a terrible deck that hinged entirely around Operative.
If you didn't draw him early or RNG him out of storyteller then you typically lost hard to shaman curve.

So far hunter has been fun to play against, they get me pretty low most of the time but unlike previous incarnations I'm not wiping my sweat wondering if they're going to hit me with 12 damage out of face with fucking Skill Commands and quick shots.

Is the Priest quest actually worth it?

I've been playing deathrattle Priest without it and it's been pretty fun, but I'm wondering if the quest itself is actually worth it. Not sure if I want to run stuff like Harvest Golem...

This is what I've been using for paladin and have been winstreaking with it, it's also quite cheap to craft and you should probably have most of the cards already if you were playing in the last standard. Only new card is Lost in the Jungle (which is amazing btw) and it's a common. Hopefully you already have Leeroy, I guess you could replace him with another consecrate or something but honestly he's just a really great legendary to have and will always be around since he's in the classic set but isn't considered super broken like sylvanas/rag since he's only used in aggro or niche combo decks.

Never said it makes sense. People pump stupid amounts of money into Candy Crush when you can play better free versions or just not pay for the boosts or stamina or whatever. Having HS available on mobile means they can push and target the IAP guys and like WoW they know many of their fans would rather drop dosh than do something simple like quest daily. Again, look at WoW. You can level up to max in a week or two or you can spend $60 and get a max-level character. Tons of people buy the level boost, sometimes for multiple characters because they'd rather spend their money than time.

Argent Horserider is TGT, it rotated out, anon. I literally replace horserider with wolfrider from my pre-rotation list of this deck, lol. Wolfrider is actually quite nice in that it has +1 attack and has steward synergy though, even pre-rotation you could make an argument for including wolfrider over argent.

You play the two decks, trade one face with otehr then bounce the one who lived and pray you draw another bounce so you can crystal core soon enough and start trading from there.

Rogue is a highly flexible class. You don't have "shit hands" since 80% of the game relies on your top deck anyways.

Dog's list for cancer below is highly optimized and almost guaranteed to go off by turn 7 at latest and fully capable of dealing with minions before then, even with "bad hands"

I never criticized people playing decks with a high win rate, I said aggro still shits on everything. I'm playing aggro right now, even. Spoiler alert: I'm shitting on everything. It's dumb.

It's difficult though, I mean at least the old broken shit has rotated out, so I still want to play probably for at least a couple of weeks to see how I truly feel about the new format. The rotation is a huge deal imo. Part of me hates how much RNG influences who wins and who loses, how little impact I feel like I have over each game's outcome, yet another part of me also understands that it's basically a gambling simulator and that each game can be an emotional rollercoaster. That it feels so shitty when you lose because you got unlucky, but the other side of the coin is it can feel almost orgasmic when you rip that leeroy for lethal the turn you were going to die, like in >>173328493 . That feeling alone can make it worth playing, the emotional rollercoaster which is ultimately still f2p (I've been f2p since starting during naxx release when you got the first wing for free).

So idk. Honestly I probably won't quit, if for no other reason than HS is the perfect phone game for when I finish my degree this semester and start working again and have downtime when running tests and shit. The pre-rotation format was so fucking awful though, I'm sure most of you remember (shaman especially), I'm just hoping it's not that bad anymore. I don't think any current decks have the shitty feeling of turn 1 trogg turn 2 golem turn 3 frost wolves anymore, right?

Divine aggrodin continues to be the aggro deck that beats other aggro decks (because you have shit like divine shield and infinite dudes from your hero power so your trades always come out on top), also divine favor is still broken as fuck as it has always been since the game first released. It's like if you dump your hand so divine favor doesn't work well you risk getting out traded by divine shields and buffs and tokens, yet if you hold cards in hand and try to play the control game the aggro pally just draws infinity cards and thanks you for it before bursting the shit out of your face while, again, continuing to flood the board with dudes no matter how many clears you have because of the hero power. They also took living roots and essentially gave the more important half to paladins now.

You just need the bodies for a savage roar finisher. Sheep are fine for that. And the aoe gives you the mana back. If you are talking about poly all into aoe, good luck making it to turn 10 against this deck.

Main thing with this deck you gotta git gud at is knowing when (and how) to trade vs. when to go face. I had a game recently against an elemental/jade shaman where choosing to ignore the jade shit I could have traded with and going face at a certain point late in the game literally made the difference between me winning instead of losing. If I traded with his jade shit he would have just made more jade shit and I wouldn't have enough damage to kill him. It's something that comes with experience but just something to keep in mind.

Do not buy any more packs until May 1st. A new law comes into effect on May 1st in China which requires all companies with digital random boxes to disclose the offering rates so people don't get abused by companies. I am expecting a huge increase in legendary offering rates starting on May 1st so Blizzard is not publicly shamed by their poor offering rate. I am expecting pity timers to atleast be cut in half.

This really is pretty nice. Four Quest rogues in a row, first match I won and the following 3 conceded. I'm a scrub so I still need to learn about trading but at least this deck can race them down and push unfavorable trades with divine shield before the 1 mana 5/5 charge spam.
