Also I miss the progressions zones had. In TBC you went Hellfire -> Zangarmarsh -> Terokkar Forest -> Nagrand -> Blade's Edge Mountains -> Netherstorm/Shadowmoon. I miss how cruel and intimidating the last zones were. (Obvious exception being Hellfire because it was supposed to have that end game feel as the first zone of WoW's first expansion.

Same with Wrath. It went (Borean Tundra -> Dragonblight) / (Howling Fjord -> Grizzly Hills) -> Zul'Drak -> Sholazar -> IceCrown/Storm Peaks. The end game zones were amazing.

Now it just kind of feels all over the place. WoD didn't even launch with an end game zone. You went Frostfire/Shadowmoon -> Gorgrond -> Talador -> Nagrand. It just ended and you sat in your garrison.

Legion really doesn't fulfill that requirement for me. The game feels less like a journey and more like a sandbox. With the endless AP grind mixed with RNG on top of RNG and then the time gating and sitting on your class hall, It just really didn't real like Warcraft to me.

Also there is a huge vibe that these zones were designed with flying in mind and then we still have to navigate the bullshit hills and crevices.

Yeah there's some QoL changes that are nice but classes are steadily being gutted and homogenized, content is being time gated to extend the life of expansions instead of just producing more content regularly, the non-linear nature of the expansion means that there's no real flowing story or progression since Dalaran/Class Halls are a forced hub aside from your faction's capitol city, and instead of getting real gear progression we get this shitty Diablo legendary/memethic+ system with memeforging allowing anyone to have il capped gear from any 110 drop.

Highmountain is nice aesthetically but the quests didnt really capture the theme well in my opinion
Valshara has too much space devoted to "lots of enemies here"
Aszuna has too much shit going on in one zone
Suramar city is cool but feels underutilized
Stormheim is a mixed bag for me, I like the aesthetic but fel-Vrykul ruins the whole zone for me. Helheim was cool but again feels underutilized (Yes I understand that its a set up for the raid)

Broken Shore is straight cheeks and whomever designed the layout of this god forsaken place should be taken behind the shed and put down.
It also doesnt help that its pretty much identical in terms of looks to northern Tanaan

agatha is just the only one that's close to a raw dps check, there's also dodging boulders and interrupting stuff, but if you do enough dmg, you don't need to (although it does lower the amount she heals and dmg you take)
also minimizing damage taken with stuns is part of it as a spec that cant actively heal easily
honestly though agatha and the tank ones are the 2 that really accentuate that as you probably haven't done any other
-god queen has no dps check and is all mechanics of dodging and cc, people have done her below 870
-worm monster has a very small dps check and is mostly mechanics, dodging, and cc
-the healer one has everything: mechanics, cc, hps throughput, dps
-tank one is dumb mechanics that you only die to because of the brutal dps check
-xylem is mechanics in phases 1 and 2, then a dps check
-twins has a low dps check that's more about your ability to keep up dps while kiting

and you get more charges when fights have more adds
they also did a recent change where you can't store souls before a boss pull anymore, but you get 3 souls almost immediately upon entering combat
as almost every 90%+ parse was a 1 shot by a guild with a fight on farm with 12 souls on pull
there was never much wrong for it to begin with other than that EN barely had any adds to kill on top of aff sucking, so redditors and noobs whined

people just whined then because 2 other of the gold traits (aoe damage upon mobs dying, which is insanely strong, and a damage increase upon mobs dying) on top of less reap charges were really dis-heartening when aff was trash in EN

I think blizz may have overestimated that a bit, like fury is fotm and a strong spec though
do note though that outdoor broken isles buffs work in her room
notably spiced wildfowl omelets (which give 10% haste and 50% movespeed for 1 minute on mob kill)
there's also some item called mammoth milk in highmountain gives you a huge heal once a minute

like theoretically as ele you could do the challenge with 10% buffs to all secondary stats and 10% more to
there's a bunch of dumb druid class hall items that only work in outdoor broken isles too for the feral version
