I've officially given up on beating Midir.

After my 16th try,the furthest I got was to half health. It's embarrassing to admit but I simply cannot defeat him. Persona 5 is out tomorrow so I probably won't touch this game for months. It's sad to admit because I loved this game and I beat every other boss on NG+3.

So, I just started TRC this weekend, and did anyone else notice the primordial serpent chamber after the Demon Princes boss? Like, I'm 99% sure it's the same place, but I didn't get out a torch to actually explore it, I stopped progressing once I hit that bonfire, but plan to pick it up once I get home this evening.

That was intense, i enjoyed the fight way more in NG+3, on my first run i killed him first try and i was surprised that he died so fast, this time it took me a couple of tries.

Bleed infusions got a buff last I checked.
Before the last few patches there was no reason to use them even on a bleed focused build because you could use Carthus Rouge on a normal upgrade and get better results.

How about Dex/Int Aquamarine Dagger with some bleed on the side?
You could go for quick multihitting weapons like claws and maybe use the Pontiff Eyes and Old Wolf Greatsword on your back for the heals.

Usually by the time you're invading us, we're 10 bosses deep, and on an adrenaline rush trying to finish the game again.

The bad part is that youre not threatening when theres a host (who has more health and flasks) and a summon who is on an equal playing field as you. The invader gets 0 bonuses from the host having more phantoms. Its so dumb that host get free handholding against any invader threat

From isn't going to change DaS3's PvP mechanics. This is what we get. Either make it work (by playing infinitely more passive and even then, you're winrate will be hit and miss) or move on. Playing something you clearly don't enjoy is the must retarded thing you can do.

I don't mind the seed, nor the numbers. Passwords and resummoning however, I feel is horribly imbalanced but never getting addressed.

But with the amount of summons you can have, plus iframe rolling it becomes tedious to try and kill players during a gank

Nail on the head. Once you hit resummon you have basically hit an infinite HP wall. Sure it's not actually infinite but it's effectively so unless you kill the host or summons run out. I haven't invaded since ashes so I dunno how things are but I imagine you have choice of signs and you can always get downscaled friends.

A good invader who isn't using an overpowered meta weapon will exploit the map to the maximum, surprising the host with drop attacks and ambushes using curl up and stretch out gestures to hide. If they need to retreat they jump off cliffs using the silvercat ring. They conserve their estus while draining the host's. They know how to split the players using lifts and one way drops. They use environmental hazards to throw players off cliffs.

Your average invaders rushes into 3-4 players and dies then complains about how invasions are impossible without twinking.

This is what got to me when I was really active. From goes to all of this trouble implementing the Estus and Bone Shard mechanics, slowly dripfeeding you resources and scaling the game up along with that - Then allows you to spam an infinite resource in summons which can ignore the "expected" resource level due to passwords.

It's a hard mechanic to balance, but even just locking resummons out when a red enters means there's a resource management minigame at least going on.

Morne's Great Hammer helps me out in a lot of situations like those. Just cast Tears of Denial, equip, a red tearstone ring, and then just use its ability as you get rushed, the results are devastating. It works more often when the people that I invade are retarded.

Idk the lasers seem to one shot everyone. I was sl 100 on ng + 7 and it's just basically having a response for everything he does. Grab attack and laser are one shots. Everything else took off around 60%hp but that still means he needs 2 shots to kill. He gives plenty time to wail on his head once you learn his telegraphed moves. I used a black knight ultra greatsword for that vertical swing to hit his head twice.

Weapon Art has good amount of Hyper Armor.
Hit R2 after connecting with WA to deal a spin move that'll deal decent damage. Then delay third R2. It sometimes catches people.
Even if you miss your WA, hit R2. It sometimes catches them and can be combo'd into third R2. You'll easily deal 700+ Damage.
Usually R1 into WA gets people who like to roll back. I mostly tend to trade with GS fellows though I guess this isn't something you should go for with during an invasion.

Since 1v1 fights are what these weapons are judged upon.
-all the axes should be lower by a tier. Their movesets are out classed by straightswords in every way and the only one with a decent weapon art is the milkwood. So possibly with the exception of the milkwood.

-Great Lance and Lothric Knight Long Spear should be lower. The pike moveset is still bad and the hyper armor on the great lance doesn't help the fact your attacks still have no tracking. You can even turn it when free aiming.

-Isn't the Onyx Blade still the longest greatsword? I think that and it's ability to chip through shields should raise it higher since the greatswords since shields make fighting greatswords extremely safe.

-The Curved Greatswords should all be lowered by a tier, possibely two. The exile's damage output right is at meme levels but it doesn't helpt that curved greatswords just have a shitty moveset.

-I don't think any halbard truly deserves to be top tier. They just aren't at the same level as the estoc.

-Hammers....Don't they have a terrible match up against spears and greatswords two very popular weapon classes. I think the greatclub is at a similar level to Ledo's greathammer. That R2 is amazing bait.

-No top tier thrusting swords. You serious? The Estoc with black knight shield and leo ring is probably the best build in the game especially now that curved swords have been nerfed.

-The Gotthards are the longest straightswords and only trail behind the longsword by like 20 AR. Winged Knight twin axes, Ringed Knight Paired greatswords need to be lowered. Lot's of damage if they hit but they both have shitty movesets. I would raise valor heart (most people make the mistake of being guard broken by playing overly agressively) and Onikiri and Ubadachi (they're still katana's).

-The Avelyn and Arbalest should be toptier. The avelyn with exploding bolts is probably the best roll catcher in the entire game (you should free aim for best results)
