A lot of people here likes Conquest more due to it being more similar to older games - Birthright is "Awakening 2.0" (rout enemies/defeat boss on all maps, optional fights for potential grind, which is not needed), while Conquest have no options for grind exp.money outside story maps and have different objectives like defend the point and such.

Still, when I was asking for optinions in the past, I got told that it doesnt amtter because ALL modern FE games are shit, nothing new will ever be good and the best I can do is to launch emulator for some SNES FE games which are forever best and only good FE titles in series.

Im actually glad that I can enjoy Awakening because of shopping outside story maps, being able to train lacking characters in side-battles or make everyone happy.

The only game where I could endure such "no backtracking, no fixing errors" was Gungnir on PSP. Or it did supported side training? I cant recall.

It's very hard to screw up to the point of the game being unwinnable in most Fire Emblem games. They can be beaten with 0% growths and people have already done so.
