It still cycles cards and provides a body to remove things like skeletons (in this aggro meta pretty important), soften up minions and give you some ping damage to face (as you see I don't really have finishers in this deck, if the dragonnewts aren't enough, except for Eyfa, so I need to bring the enemy down to 12 with 2 newts or 15 with 3 newts).
You always have those dragonnewts in your hand before you are even ready to do the full combo.

And because classes get more legendaries, haven can reliably get Aegis for a nearly guaranteed win. In a lot of aspects it plays a lot like forest or runecraft, you want to stay at 8 hand cards while still playing cards.
Also having a turn 1 play and being able to fully utilize every single PP you have available is really important in this meta.

Is there an Aegis deck that isn't shit. I've tried several homebrews and that 8th place tourney deck from gamepress, but they're all mediocre. Any list with Zoe is especially bad; I don't care if she has """synergy""" with GS, she's a steaming pile of shit and you shouldn't play her. Did you do the story mode yet? Play through it, seriously. You'll discover a craft or two that you REALLY enjoy the mechanics of. Then you can reroll and get legos for that craft and hit ranked. Or check that one reddit thread where people give away accounts with sweet rolls. Beginner through C/B ranks is VERY forgiving and the learning curve is pretty quick and easy.

Also with the battle log you can see what every card played does to get a better understanding of what differen crafts/decks do.

Any advice for refining this tempo deck?

This is honestly the only people who must be struggling against Aegis. People in A0 and AA0 are terrible at the game because it takes absolutely no effort to reach those ranks. Are missions still easy in A-AA? I didn't try to move past that because I was missing a whole lot of cards. I can easily move at least up to AA or something, but having only one deck while also having missions with unoptimized decks made me consider not to move on to A-AA.

I think at least now I have somewhat of a good collection, although it's mostly aggro based.

a mix of control cucks making new blood, haven, and dragon lists and the deck being weak to dragon now that they can ouro zell because you can albert.
