happening. I guess I'm just sad because people I spent like 2 years of my post-high school/young adult life with never even log in anymore. It's like seeing your friends from high school move on or something. These people legitimately have a place in my heart for some reason. We only really have the super autists and mods left and then 75% new people I don't recognize. I just legitimately haven't seen most of the people from my generation playing in like 2-3 months and honestly even in like the past year most of them have dropped out or faded out. Mid 2016 is the last time I saw most of them logging in routinely, after that they mostly seemed to have faded out and basically quit other than logging in once a month if that.

I can relate to these feels, back in I think 2012 or somewhere in those years I played a shit ton of minecraft on the 2b2t server which was just a no rules kill everyone you see kind of deal and it also had the same population as /v/scape (50-80 players during its peak year). Constant griefing, pooling together resources with players to make massive bases far away from spawn, duping items and spawning millions of creepers/ghasts after surrounding the spawn area in an inescapable max height wall of lava, good times.

Looking back I have lots of fond memories of all the stupid shit I did with people and a few of us were also well known after a while for all the shenanigans that went down in that place. Similar autism to runescape, still have lots of those people on my steam friends list after all these years and I kind of miss playing with them but everyone moved on as well. If /v/scape is anything like 2b2t which also basically was a /v/ server then it still has many years of life left on it though.

Just to comment on all this talk about the server dying.

I may have only been here for a year and a half (very active), but in my time the average server population hasn't decreased at all. Sure we've lost some of the more vocal autists, but we've gained many too.

This server isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
